Never Forget was the perfect song to END the album."WE will never forget tonight. It will be alright." (Perfect ending, saying so long type of song).

Sure sounds like Christine singing with herself on the verses to me. Listen to the line "When you look at me with those brown eyes/what do you want to say" and it's very clear. Lindsey's in there too, but there's more than one Chris.

So I was just thinking about this, how the tracking of Tusk could have been different, for some strange reason.
What if the album had instead been called Storms and looked like this? Do we have a more commercially accessible album, hypothetically? The title Storms seems more thematically unifying than Tusk. Side 1 What Makes You Think You're The One Think About Me Sara The Ledge Over & Over Sisters of the Moon Side 2 Tusk Storms Never Make Me Cry I Know I'm Not Wrong Brown Eyes Beautiful Child |

If Tusk were to be split into two volumes, I think it would've been okay like this;
Volume 1 Think About Me The Ledge Over & Over Not That Funny Sara The Ledge Brown Eyes Sisters Of The Moon Save Me A Place Storms Volume 2 Tusk Angel That's Enough For Me What Makes You Think You're The One I Know I'm Not Wrong Never Make Me Cry Honey Hi Beautiful Child Walk A Thin Line Never Forget However, when a friend asked for a shorter version featuring more casual friendly tracks, this is what I gave him; Over & Over Angel I Know I'm Not Wrong Think About Me Sara What Makes You Think You're The One Sisters Of The Moon Brown Eyes Not That Funny Storms Tusk Never Forget |

Part of the magic of Tusk is how epic it is, so breaking it down to just a single album would have actually hurt sales, I think.
But I've always wondered how the band would have done that. I pretty much figure that "Sara" and "Sisters of the Moon" would have been 2 of Nicks' three tracks but I'm clueless which of the remaining three would have made the cut. |
