My fav part is the unexpected outtake/variations on the songs which were included. For instance, I just *love* the version of Tusk with the marching band intro.

I actually love all of the unreleased tracks...Love Shines and Heart of Stone stand out and of course, Paper Doll ... and all the Alt versions are cool...the absolute best being Gypsy ("I still see your bright eyes...I can't find you...") I don't think I've listened to the original version since this came out...

The negative about the set is the info...I wish it were more correct as to what is an alt version etc...

I agree. The version of Gypsy is great. One thing though, does anyone else think that the tracklisting is just weird?! Not the actual tracks, but the order?

Yes, I agree. I don't get it.

Recently released was a Rolling Stones singles collection with each single packaged in a box set w/ all b-sides and (re)mixes--in CHRONOLOGICAL order. Wouldn't it be amazing to have such a box set for Fleetwood Mac from Peter Green's to Say You Will?

Things I love are the extended version of 'Gypsy', adding 'Silver Springs' to the collection, 'Stand Back' live & 'Paper Doll'!!

My fav thing is probably Gypsy on here. Also on the Live stand Back. Am i the only one who thinks the keyboard part sounds overly white..if that makes sense. Is it Chris? There's....like.....no funk....or soul.....ugh forget it

Might be just me

Liked: The "new" ("Love Shines", "Paper Doll", etc) & "outtake" ("Goodbye Angel", "Teen Beat", "Trinity", etc) tunes. The original 45 version of "Silver Springs". The 45 mix of "Say You Love Me".

Could've been better: Instead of including 90% of the '75 album & Rumours sucking up disc space, they could've included the Tango singles' B sides, more unreleased tracks from the pre-'75 incarnations.

So am I the only one who isn't overly crazy about the extended version of Gypsy? It's my favorite song ever, but the extended version just doesn't do it for me. Maybe just becasue I haven't listened to it as much. Hmm.

Ohhhhhhhh yeah so my favorite Fleetwood Mac poster is an ad for The Chain (looks like this one http://bit.ly/j28cqD) so that's another favorite thing of mine - they had cool posters. Stupid, I know, but whatever.

While I like all the unreleased tracks, Love Shines is by far, the standout track on The Chain.

So this compilation sounds awesome! I was wondering should I get it now...or listen to all the original songs first and then get the collection?

Love 'Heart of Stone'! Stevie's backup harmonies are great!

I have a question about 'Make Me A Mask'? Did Lindsey record this track with the band? Was this a song that would of been on a solo album?

From what I've read it was an unused track from the Out Of The Cradle sessions. So, it pretty much is just a Lindsey solo tune.

He DID do some vocal & guitar overdubs to "Paper Doll", even though it was the Behind The Mask incarnation that recorded the basic tracks.
