Default POLL: Best Dave Stewart Collaboration from In Your Dreams

Since there aren't enough poll options for all the songs, I plan on doing a battle between the winner of best Dave Stewart collab against the winner of best song sans Stewart.

Should be an interesting way, as well, to put the songs into perspective and to inspire discussion (e.g., I noted how the last 5 songs of the album are 5 of the 7 Stewart collabs).

What's your favorite of the 7?

ETA: I chose "Everybody Loves You" ... I think it's so moving and I love the keyboard and strings.

Fleetwood Mac helped me through a time of heartbreak. 12 years later, they broke my heart.

Yeah when I watched the sizzle reel I had a feeling WSS would be my favorite on the album too. So I voted for Wide Sargasso Sea

Yeah the keyboards are amazing. I choose Italian Summer though Wide Sargasso Sea was a close second.

I'll go with Wide Saragasso Sea for sure. Stevie sings a great story here. I haven't seen the movie yet but from the lyrics on this song I can see a lot of passion, pain, and anger going on here. I think it's a great song lyrically as well as musically.

Torn between Everybody Loves You and You May Be The One. In the end, I went with ELY.

I went with "Everybody Loves You".....I love most of the rest of these songs, especially "Italian Summer" and "Wide Sargasso Sea", but "Everybody Loves You" is so catchy, I love it.

I'm torn between ELY, WSS, IYD & YMBTO, but gave the nod to YOU MAY BE THE ONE.

This song gives the album some added diversity - some soul, some blues & country with what may be the best vocals (Stevie & Lori and Sharona)on the record. Plus the prickly yet poignant lyrics round out the best of Stevie's angry love to hate you songs. The structure of this song reminds me of classic Eagles songwriting. It's got a great hook, and is beautifully written and sung throughout. Its perfection, and if Warners & Stevie had a clue they should strongly consider this for 2 or 3rd single. Stevie should be singing YMBTO or IYD for TV performances to grab new listeners imho.

You May Be The One is epic, and it's the first song they wrote together.

Yes, I think of how you ended it every time I hear the song: "And we were... MAGIC!"... so I also suspected you would vote accordingly!

It's interesting, when these songs are broken into Dave vs Non-Dave polls, I can see how very clearly I prefer the Dave Stewart songs! And to think, I was so intensely wary of his possible stamp on this album!
