Default We ARE Getting a Concert DVD From This Tour!!!

http://theedge.bostonherald.com/musi...?articleid=243

"Running nearly three hours, the show (which was being recorded for DVD) stuck mainly with the big hits..."

It's the Boston show, of course. I'm so happy!

I attended the Boston show and was amazed to see the film crew and cameras flying everywhere! It certainly is a strong indication that there will be a concert DVD in our future. I heard that the smaller, rehearsal show the night before was also filmed. Perhaps we'll get the best performances between those two.

The 9/24 show in Boston was the best EVER. Truly amazing. I heard that the first night of taping was mainly for close-ups, so hopefully most of the second show will make it to the DVD.

Yea, I was at both of those shows. I got to touch Lindsey's guitar the second night. I really don't want to see myself on these videos.

I am really pumped about this. Unfortunately, I'll probably be in the video, looking sweaty and sh*tty in the front row.

This is fantastic news! Thanks for posting it!

I wonder whether this will be part of the SYW Documentary DVD or if it will be a separate release...? Throw in the LB solo show and you get a very very happy lot of fans.

Ha ha, we're going to see you & we're going to laugh at you.

Are you dressed like Carmen Miranda, with bowls of bananas & grapes on your head?

Well, I don't mean to rain on parades and I hope this happens too but I just hope they are happy enough with the footage they got from these shows to release it as I assume the other "pro shot" concerts that have circulated over the years must've been filmed for similar reasons (for a video release) and not used for the same reasons (they feel that they don't look pretty enough in it or whatever). Just something to think about but I also would LOVE to see it get released, I'd sure prefer a performace DVD to a doc/interviews one anyways.

I'm wincing because I can just picture Mick saying something really stupid in it like standing outside the Fleet Center and saying to the camera "ah yes, I remember playing here in 1969 with Peter, Danny and Jeremy, great memories" (uh, hello Mick? the Boston Garden used to be here before and you didn't play the Garden in '69 when you were in Boston).

I've always thought it funny how critics and such say they are playing a show mostly full of their big hits...when in all actuality their only "hits" they do in the show are :

"Dreams"
"Rhiannon"
"Gypsy"
"Big Love"
"Landslide"
"Silver Springs"
"Tusk"
"Stand Back"
"Go Your Own Way"
"Don't Stop"

10 out of 23 songs is definetely not that big of a number for a classic group...granted so many songs from Rumours could be considered hits b/c of how well known they are even tho they never charted, Im guessing that's where they get their ideas (ALA "The Chain," "Second Hand News," "Gold Dust Woman."

And you could even trim that list to 9, since I don't think silver Springs was ever really a "hit" either. At least it never charted. Maybe the grammy nomination can make it considered a hit.

I can't believe Silver Springs didn't chart. I remember when it came out, that's all I would hear on the radio (and Landslide, too). It's still in heavy rotation in my area.
