So it was a discography mistake? Can someone who bought the new tourbook confirm this.

So, nobody was upset with the photos of them in the tourbook, eh?
BUT...isn't the bird still in the NEW tourbooks? That's what everyone was wondering about at the last show where the books were sold. ![]()

That's apparently the only mistake anyone can find. Do you think this tourbook will end up scarce like Street Angel?

Yes. the tourbooks still have that same cover for the 1980 live album. To me, the entire book doesn't look ANY DIFFERANT than the original tourbook posted on the snl.net website (from what I saw of Sharon's....I didn't get one) , so I have no idea what the deal was with them showing up for than one show and then disappearing to get them "fixed"

I have a hard time believing that they pitched all of those much delayed tour books because of that (somewhat inconsequential)album cover mistake. That may have been an assumption of a fellow Ledgie...and then got passed around to the point where it is now considered fact.
There have been plenty of inaccuracies in Fleetwood Mac releases throughout the years. I've never heard of any of those being destroyed and reprinted. Still, who were the idiots responsible for that??? They obviously weren't familiar with the band at all! The curious thing is that the bird photo is from a CD issued in Germany by some obscure distributer...and contains music from the Boston Tea Party concerts in 1969. There is no excuse for this mistake. Further evidence that Fleetwood Mac is supported by an unprofessional, out-of-touch and seemingly inept staff that do nothing to serve their fans and everything to make the band look bad.

Rumor had it that a band member was upset by a photo of them...has anyone seen if any photo is different?

They didn't fix it after all this time? That's just SAD!

Apparently they did fix it, that is why they released them now, but rumor had it a MALE band member didn't llike his photo, and the books were recalled after Lubbock.....

Hmmm...maybe the old tourbook has a picture of Mick looking out at the audience, and you can see dollar signs in his eyes. Look closely people. I bet he wanted that changed.

So I received my tour program in the mail today (I had asked my friend to buy one for me at the 9/13 Chicago show).
I'm actually pleasantly surprised that it looks OK. The production quality is nowhere near other tour programs I've purchased (e.g. Tina Turner, Madonna, Cher). But it far exceeds anything Stevie has released on her tours, though the Whole Lotta Trouble tour program is probably one of the stronger ones from a graphic design perspective. Thank God, Chris Nicks had nothing to do with this one. *SPOILER* In case you don't plan to buy one... The tour program has 24 pages, with almost all of the pages including some color, plus the cover. The color scheme is black, red and white throughout. The cover features each band member in one of four squares. Turn the page, each band member is featured again in consecutive vertical shots (Stevie, John, Mick, Lindsey). An eight-page essay, titled "The Opening Act" by Rolling Stone editor David Wild follows next, with two pages of concert photos arranged in a collage. Collages generally breed tacky design, but at least the photos are neatly arranged. Next up is an eight-page "Q&A with the Band" -- questions about the Say You Will album, life on the road, life without Christine, favorite songs to perform onstage, the band chemistry and the supporting musicians. Each band member gets a full-page picture in this section. Next, a few pages for the tour rehearsal and the supporting musicians. Two pages for the discography, with the 1980 Live album cover error. A page for FleetwoodMac.com and then the tour credits. Overall, it's a good tour program. I like the full page color pictures of each band member, though Stevie's has the worst picture quality of the four (it's blurry and looks like a typical "fan shot" from the side of the stage). The design is consistent, employing the same color and typography as the album. The overall selection of the photography could be A LOT better. I'm guessing someone in the fan club took these shots, rather than a concert photographer, because they are not high quality shots; many are blurry, others are grainy. No photographer is credited either, which leads you to believe this task was delegated to someone on the inside. Out of five stars, I'd give it three stars. Not bad, not spectacular. Daniel |

Yes.. the discography mistake was annoying. As are the typos and the fact that Sharon's picture looks REALLY crappy.
I'm glad to have it for the big pictures, but it's really not that great. A little overpriced considering the smidgen of info that's in there-- and how we've heard all of those questions and answers a million times.
