The only song I can bear to listen to is "Nights In Estoril." The rest can go far away. I still think they discovered Bekka Bramlett after hearing her sing in a Folgers commercial or something. Chris' songs aren't bad at all, but they seem incomplete for some reason.

I went for the OK option, the 6 songs I like/love would be

Nights in Estoril, Talkin to my heart, Sooner or later, Nothing without you, Hollywood and I do

The rest range from poor to soul tormenting

I love it, I think those who don't are mentally challenged.

I voted that I hated it but have never listened to it. I don't think that's a fair answer...b/c who knows? If I did listen to it, I might like it...you need to have a new answer "I haven't listened to it...so I have no opinion."

If I'd have written a song on "Rumours"? How about "You want a what?", or "We should have had a Pre-Nup". (John McVie)

This should probably go under the "Post Rumours" forum (it would probably get a more realistic vote if it was there too) but whatever.

Gee, I wonder what option is going to win? (note sarcasam). I'd normally launch in to defense of this album/lineup here but ya just know many people that undoubtedly will vote on this have already decided they don't like it without having heard it so whatever, good luck to those of ya. Hope you have fun fixing the vote and get a good laugh out of your own joke.

Those of us that have heard it with an open mind are quite enjoying ourselves so the door's open if ya wanna join the party.

I voted for it's OK. I like all of Christine's songs the best. I love "All Over Again". "Sooner Or Later", "Nights In Estoril" & "Hollywood, Some Kind of Town" are also very good. But, the more I listen to it, the more Bekka's songs grow on me, especially "Nothing Without You" & "Dreamin' The Dream". The only song on the album that I truly hate is "These Strange Times". Time is still alot better than it's given credit for, although it will never be among my favorite Fleetwood Mac albums.

None of the answers really fit my opinion of the album.

I would probably say it's my least favourite of all FM albums ever recorded (probably tied with "Heroes").

I'd vote that it's in between being listenable and sucking.

It's not the lineup, it's the songs. The performances are good. I'm not a Bekka fan, but she does have a beautiful voice. Billy rocks, and I can't stand Dave Mason. Christine's songs are (IMHO) the dullest she's written, and there's nothing on the whole disc that stands out. If they had different material, it probably would have been a better album.

Actually, I think my fave tune on the whole disc is These Strange Times, just because it's so bizarre and unusual, and 'cause I love MF. But even that one never gets repeated playings.

I try to sit through the Time album every so often whenever I'm in the mood to listen to every album from Dog/Dustbin up to SYW, but I can never get through it past the first three tracks.

Christine's music on "Time" is so excellent that I think it makes up for the not-so-awesome songs by both Billy and Bekka. Now I only say this cause I have heard some of their other work on their own solo albums and I think it sounds ten times better than their rock and roll attempts on "Time." They're meant for the country sound. Back to Christine, her music on this album ROCKS!!! I mean "Sooner Or Later" and "Nights In Estoril" are probably the best songs she has ever recorded (with the exception of "Brown Eyes" of course). And I know I'm going to regret this, but "These Strange Times" is actually a song I listen to regularly. I guess to sum it all up, the only problem with the album is the lack of Ste....I mean, the music clashes...yeah...clashes

Cool

Voted, for the OK option. I love all of Christine's songs plus Mason's "Blow By Blow", Bekka's "Dreamin' The Dream" and Billy's "Talkin' To My Heart". The rest I can listen to, but I can't really stand "These Strange Times". I guess that's what's keeping me away from the "love it" option.

AH! I see, OK well, this won't be the runaway vote that I figured maybe because there are a bunch of negative voting options so depending on the sense of humor of "Rumours era" fans those votes will be split down the middle (though it's not really that way if you add the negative ones together).

As expected, the OK votes are doing well because some of those people know that if they use the cop out answer then they won't have to defend anything though I rest my case with the "never had it never will" people.

By the way, I assume most of those have said "OK" will come here and say they "aren't coping out, they genuinely think the album is OK" Well, no one is going to say "yeah, I'm coping out" ...are they? Not that any of this matters anyways but these votes will never tell the whole story as to what many REALLY feel about this album (unfortunately). JMHO though.

John

Lightbulb Time...

I voted for "on my to buy list". I listened to clips just the other day on Yahoo....and some of the songs are good....all of Christine's, Dave's I Wonder Why sounded alright and Talkin To My Heart sounded pretty cool.

I want to eventually have EVERY FM CD in my collection. I'm a fan of FM....not only Rumours-era FM. No offense to anyone that loves just Rumours-era FM.

I've always enjoyed the CD. And I, too, will admit to listening to "These Strange Times" and getting a kick out of it. It's quirky as hell.
