Default Buckingham/McVie/Nicks lyrics

I was listening to Mirage Deluxe in my new Airpods. It really sounds so damn good!

I was noting the amount of times all three writers (Rumours era) use certain words. You only get one word per post. Pick a word that Fleetwood Mac, or Buck/McVie/Nicks, over-use a lot.

Mine is:

Shadows

I'll go with that anonymous person that shows up in many songs- "You".

"You" Make Loving Fun
What Makes "You" Think You're the One
Would "You" stay if she promised "You" heaven?

Me thinks "You" is one lucky person to be in so many great songs

I think the story was co-write since it was her that gave him the name of the song. He had the song but not the name and she offered the name. Like Prince on Stand Back, she wanted no credit given.

Sun

Now I know how the Sun must feel, every time it shines.

How can I make the Sun shine through, so we can be happy again?

Even though you've stopped the sun from shining

Well my heart will rise up with the morning sun

I, I am waiting for the sun to come up/I can't sleep, with your warm ways

You woo me until the sun comes up, and you say that you love me.

For you, the sun will be shining

And the sun went down/Never seemed to rise

You're the cool nights of the desert/And the hot kisses of the sun

I don't care for sunny weather/I like the change of seasons better

Where are you darlin'?/When my moon is risin'/And your sun is shinin' down

And it's worse for me at night, you know/When the red sun kisses the sea

I'm rolling on the floor laughing. (with the sun)

Does she make all of her suns the same, though?
Still, who will be the one to say it was no good what she done. She was only trying for the sun.
After all, the sun is bright, but not too bright to see.

Thankfully "woo" is not as prevalent in her lyrics.

Yes. If I recall the song was originally called Bahama Island or something and she wanted to add more mystery to the song and re-wrote it and gave it to Bob. She also wrote his talking parts on stage and would stand in front row with cue cards so he could read them aloud from the stage. Its no wonder Chris gave him side eye for such a stunt.

True but, the planets of the universe
Go their own way because unlike Christine, they are not astounded by the sun or the moon!!
