I dont agree with that list. Here is mine:

Enchanted
Nothing Ever Changes
Long Way To Go
Running Through the Garden
Thrown Down
Ooh My Love

I liked three of his choices a lot- Races Are Run, Crystal, and Outside the Rain would have been great radio songs. I also agree with Macfan4life that Thrown Down and Long Way to Go or Oh My Love would have been excellent singles as well.

I like the original list, and as a bonus they’re all 100% Stevie-written.

“Races Are Run” has always been my favorite Buckingham Nicks tune and it’s nice to see it getting some love here!

I have always thought Wild Heart and RAL were purposely killed by the release of its 3rd single. I think by 1986 Stevie's record company wanted RAL to come to an end so she could get help. No way HAEWAFY was going to chart.
I dont like these songs but If I Were You or Sister Honey with a video definitely would have been a radio friendly hit

Sister Honey should have been a dance hit. I can envision Stevie performing it on American Bandstand or Soul Train.

I dont think Stevie could have pulled that off, performing a dance song on Soul Train LOL

She was clearly out of her element for such a song. I think the song has a good chorus and not making it so funky would have made it so much better. It has some good guitar work which is unheard of on RAL. Real drums and a guitar riff instead of that other intro really would have improved the song IMHO.

"If I were you" should have been a single.

When I heard Thrown Down at a Friends episode, I thought it would be a single, but it never was.

I would have loved to have watched her moon walk in platform boots to Sister Honey on Soul Train. Brad Jeffries could have done back spins next to her with a black leather head band and parachute pants.

IMHO it was a cringe moment during her career with her "I Cant Wait" funky dance during the carousel organ part in the video with her gloves. She seemed so out of her element and it was so inauthentic. Gurl, you are not Madonna and not 22. I cringe what a Sister Honey video would have brought.
It was her jump the shark moment abandoning her rock roots for cheeze. From Bella Donna to this in just 5 years

She could never adapt well to 80’s cheese. I just listened to some of Rock a Little yesterday after reading this thread and it’s mostly trash. Sister Honey is terrible. I find nothing appealing about her videos or performances from this era. The 80’s have a lot of cheese but she just couldn’t pivot into it in a way that wasn’t painful looking. And I was a kid then and I love cheesy 80’s music still to this day. For example, most people (including Ann and Nancy) hate Heart’s mid- to late 80’s output - I think it’s great! I don’t care that they didn’t write those songs, they were able to go 80’s glam cheese and make it work IMO. The change in Stevie in 5 years post Bella Donna are striking. Her songs were really on fire from the first FM album right through Mirage and The Wild Heart (to a bit of a lesser extent for me). After that it was hit and miss - mostly miss.

In her defense (in a way), she was not really into it. She was going through the motions at this point. An album 2 years in the making and barely got out. Most of the songs are not hers. She became a caricature of herself. Addiction hurt not only her voice but also her craft. She is not alone when this happens. The music led to the big parties and drugs. But then the party and drugs are the priority and the music is just something to give excuses to party more.

Like Alice through the looking glass
She used to know who she was

I'm not exactly anti-drugs, but she really is an amazing example of why you might not want to get too deep into it. I mean, she's turned it around to a degree and has been pretty successful since as far as a performer, but as an artist and creator, she really lost herself after the early 80's. The incredibleness of what she was able to create especially in the Rumours/Tusk/BD/Mirage run when compared to what she couldn't do afterward...it's amazing.

And I agree, she clearly wasn't into the 80's cheese. She went that route and changed her whole personality but it came off as terrible and looking back it's really an embarrassing period for her. If her music would have stayed more in the rock arena vs. whatever path she went down, maybe things would have been more different from a creative standpoint. But her voice was so bad by the mid-80's, not sure anything would have mattered. I suppose this was when she really surrounded herself with lots of yes-men. I'm sure nobody was telling her, this stuff is trash...your voice sounds horrible, stop.
