While I would never defend $tevie, nothing is going to sell a million copies these days. Especially from a dinosaur band. 33 years ago, they had a chance, and BTM sold over a million worldwide(500K in the U.S.). But now, it could only be a labor of love. BuckVie only sold 60K copies. $tevie doesn't see 60K as worth her time. That's why Lindsey and Christine were still artists, while $tevie just wants to sell seats, dredging up the same old crap we've been hearing for 45 years. Only with a really crappy voice, now. That said, I absolutely worship the BuckVie album. It's my swan song from my band. The last couple of $tevie albums I've heard were just as boring AF.

Now Stevie publicly says she doesn't care if anybody buys the music, she does it for her own pleasure. Meanwhile in Mick's second book he writes we will be ready for Stevie to participate in the next Fleetwood Mac album ![]() That's forever in print now and Mick said it. |

![]() Another way of saying it is Lindsey and Christine wanted to be artists, while Stevie wants to be a rock star.

![]() Yes. She had a stronger ambition and a definite goal to be successful. He was always more ambivalent, and was less willing to compromise to achieve success. She could be too willing to compromise sometimes.

![]() I can’t blame her. Her joining Fleetwood Mac was only because they wanted Lindsey on guitar and only if she and Christine got along. I’d imagine having your career not in your own hands was unnerving. While I genuinely believe she made BD because she had a lot of songs and Fleetwood Mac took too long to make records and had no idea that it would be THAT successful, it had to be a weight off her shoulders to not be at the whims of Lindsey or the others.

I think her rejoining was announced, work began on some tracks, they went out on tour, then came back and finished the album. In theory they could have pushed back the tour to finish the album first, but that would have forced Stevie to either commit or not commit and probably would have caused major drama before the trucks pulled out of the rehearsal studio. For all we know they did discuss finishing the album first, but Stevie's camp put the kabosh on that in a very unclear way. It's such a bummer that Lindsey purposely crafted material in her vocal range so the material would be flattering to her vocal range and it completely fell on deaf ears. I think he genuinely wanted to work together with her and was willing to do anything to make that as easy for her as possible.
