David A said "ONE OF the best bands ever, they simply are". Yes, i think so too. ONE of the best (which means that there are plenty of other great bands) for different reasons that he probably explained at least one time in those numerous threads.

Yeah I agree with that

Of course, I must wonder if any of you will agree that the best band that never was is: Spinal Tap!

As TerraRhiannon said, It's all opinion. I love OOTC but to me, Rumours, Dark Side of the Moon, Wish you were here and Synhronicity are far better albums.

The fact that you don't know GYOW is included in LIVE detracts your thread. Or maybe they sold you just disc 1?

No mac solo album makes my top 100+ of my lifetime. Three Mac albums do though and Tusk and Rumours would top the list.

Fleetwood Mac helped me through a time of heartbreak. 12 years later, they broke my heart.

Are we still talking about Fleetwood Mac?

Do you not own the Live album? Check out either side 4 of the LP or disc 2, GYOW is right there...in your face.

Unless they release a THREE LP set, to include an entire show, some songs just don't make the cut. And, from what I recall (and can even be heard on the live cut of GYOW), Lindsey seemed to have a definite tuning problem on stage...there may not have been a decent recording (to their standards, anyway) of "The Chain" that they wanted released at the time.

Overkill...they knew when to show up and when not to.

Heck, Pat Benatar has sold more than she has, and yet I bet you people will say that SN career (as a solo act) was better than Pats
Benatar has released two or three times as many albums as Stevie has solo. What's your point?

In 1992/93, NOTHING Fleetwood Mac related was cool & hip...therefore, NOTHING was going climb the charts. OotC is Lindsey's masterpiece but for being released in 1992, it still sounded like it was stuck in 1988.

Ummmm....not since '75. Lindsey & Stevie took them directly to "pop". Yeah, they can kick ass in concert, but their albums are, as Nick Lowe said, "Pure Pop For Now People".

He's a whiner, was a whiner, always WILL be a whiner. The dude had issues.

They must've had a reason.

How much more of it could you take? All the sniping & whining gets old after 10 minutes.

Well, they didn't change the world, they just sold a ****load of records during a short period of time.

How do you know that? Maybe they wouldn't, which is why they stayed...maybe they still owe WB $$$.

Not that he has a wife...that his wife isn't Stevie Nicks...you gotta get that concept.

It’s like, show case your talents dude
And, I'd bet you'd complain if he played the same song every TV performance...can't have it both ways.
