Not an outtake, but a song Rick wrote for McGuinn Clark Hillman (The Byrds) called "Surrender to Me". It has a hell of a hook.

Wow, that's better than Say You Will! It's really good.

Christine was sooo at her peak of gorgeousness during this time.... Stevie had peaked and come down the other side a bit by then... But Chris was just stunning

I was just getting into all these for the first time last weekend. I always knew there were a bunch of BTM demos, but never gave them the time. Some of them are so good! And these links don't even include some of my favorites.

Songs like Intuition, Living Without You, and Victim of Love should have had homes on the actual album, or a subsequent FM album circa 1992. Surely they would have been more heard that way instead being on Rick Vito's solo albums.

I'm actually kind of obsessed with this lineup at the moment, which has never happened.

I can certainly see why several of these songs were rejected, although the demos for Save Me and In the Back of My Mind are still intriguing. The common thread here is the lack of Stevie Nicks, so it appears that her vocals were tacked on late in development.

I’m sure you’re right about Stevie, but thankfully she’s singing on so many songs on BTM, unlike Tango.

Game of Love is my favorite here- so catchy, with a great vocal, and I really love the music. Can’t understand how it didn’t make it on the album.
