I know. But bless his heart anyway. I'm an optimist so if he's saying stuff like this I'm just going to smile and nod. I'm not going to build up any hope for anything soon.

I think both Stevie and Lindsey were planning to continue touring behind their records in 2012. Both were successful from a fans and critic standpoint. However, with the death of Stevie's mother and Neale's back injury, I think everything has put on hold. Sadly, I think that whatever both of them had planned on for 2012 is going to get cancelled. I bet we hear Fleetwood Mac plans before anything else.

I doubt that interview happened recently anyway. Stevie didn't go back on the road for 6 months after her Dad passed.

I say keep going, but be open to folding the material into any Mac-related release possible.

Fleetwood Mac helped me through a time of heartbreak. 12 years later, they broke my heart.

My sister says Stevie will need the support of her band family around her for strength and continuity as Lindsey would say. Also, LBs UK tour got scrapped because of Neal Haywoods back. How convenient that he can be around to help stevie through this time and not be on the road. Destiny does in fact rule my friends!

We will see the union of the mac in the later ages of this year, it was actually predicted from indigenous peoples for Dec 21, 2112 ! Oh and the world economy will collapse but we'll still pay to see the mac tour! This is a great honor for them and will lend us all some much needed continuity. There's that word again.

I would love to have new music from Fleetwood Mac. Of course I love Lindsey's solo work, but it's been almost 9 years since SYW!! My hope is that LB and SN will work together to make a special album. There should be none of this situation where Stevie isn't involved until months later.

It did - SYW is stupendous IMO. But I agree with holidayroad - all of them should be there at the beginning, middle and end and try and find some harmony right from the word go.

Would be nice if they could write some songs together like they've intended all these years.

Well, that's up for debate. I always thought SYW sounded like a great Lindsey album with a few mediocre Stevie songs shoved in (mediocre in part because they were produced/arranged as if they were Lindsey songs, when that production/arrangement really doesn't work for her voice or her lyrics). And while I can't really complain about getting an album that sounds like a great Lindsey album, I want Fleetwood Mac albums to sound like Fleetwood Mac albums.
