One in the same, if you go by character profiles alone.

Add spiders to my list.

Turbulence when flying

Getting fired and not being able to pay my rent

My mom dying (but, I know that's got to happen eventually)

Drowning or being burnt alive

Introducing myself to strange people

Winding up being a demented, ill, and homeless kook in my old age and having no one to look after me

Being buried alive in a coffin

Getting a cramping, urgent, intestinal virus while I'm at work or on the subway

Only a New Yorker could fully appreciate this.

My fears:

Heights (to the point of being uneasy on a step-ladder)
Ghosts
Sharks

Good one, but I would add -- having it happen anywhere except at home!

Taxes
Homelessness, or total and complete poverty
Death of parents
Unbearable, torturous, unrelenting, uncontrollable physical pain

Other than that, nothing scares me.

Well, that too. In fact, there is no intestinal 'stuff' that I allow to happen anywhere from home. I know, I'm nuts. I have to be in a really, really bad way to use a public bathroom for a #2 (or, in this case, a #3). That's a big fear of mine.

HA! Yes, absolutely. I will stop at nothing to avoid "public restrooms". I should have added that to my fears. They harbor those "microbes" that David mentioned.
