Default Which lady of the Mac do you prefer?

Just doing a quick poll before I leave for a week. Simple question, self-explanatory.

Well, since trying to pick a favorite Mac girl was all too difficult, i went with Lindsey!

Besides, musically, he's the most talented out of all of 'em put together!

Didn't really think of her. The Stevie-Chris debate is sorta like the Dave-Sammy debate with Van Halen, and Bekka is a bit like Gary Cherone in VH: the person that tends not to really be associated as a lead singer in the band.

Bekka deserves her fair share of credit too. She has one hell of a voice, and her only fault was doing Stevie songs on the Time tour. This would be like doing a "men of the mac?" poll, and forgetting Billy Burnette and Rick Vito

Sorry, she just never came to mind for me. I was thinking primarily of Stevie and Chris duking it out.

Can't choose between Stevie, Chris and Lindsey, so Grace Slick it is! Though I always prefered Mickey Thomas

Sorry, I just actually spat my cereal

I voted for Chris... surprisingly I can't put my finger on what it is that I love most about her. Her beautifully smooth voice, her worderful, thought provoking lyrics, her sheer musical genius (I'm yet to find someone else who can play Tusk on the accordion whilst dancing, screaming and having just finished playing the chair) or her amazing looks? Either way, she's what makes Fleetwood Mac for me.

I assume that was a scoff of derision?

Question: Other than her songs on Time, how familiar are you with Bekka's work?

Highly familiar, actually. I don't waste good food over nothing.

I don't quite see what her other work has to do with 'Ladies of the Mac' though

And yeah, Bekka gets my vote without question. She is hands down my favorite female vocalist. Period.

It just is ludicrious that Bekka wasn't included. That's the same as if I did a poll:

Who's your favorite Fleetwood Mac guitarist:

Peter Green
Lindsey Buckingham
Rick Vito

Uh...no Spencer? no Kirwan? no Welch? no Weston? no Burnette? no Mason?

It's my view that you either include ALL members who fit the criteria of the poll, or the poll is invalid. SO, to me, this is an invalid poll.

WTF kinda comment is THAT?? OF COURSE she'd be doing Stevie songs, as well as Christine songs...she's doing her first tour as the new female singer of Fleetwood Mac doing her predecessors songs in concert. Bob Welch, Lindsey Buckingham, Billy Burnette & Rick Vito all had to do Peter Green tunes....Lindsey had to do Bob Welch tunes....Billy had to do Lindsey tunes. Nobody puts them down for THAT...but HOLY CRAP, Bekka does what she's SUPPOSED to do and she gets vilified???? Why the double standard? Are you really THAT psychotically Nicks-centric? Seems to be in epidemic proportions around here.

I thought about Lindsey for his Big Love backing vocals, but I figured that was too clever (and not really genuine on my part anyway). So I chose Stevie, because as much as I adore Christine (and I do) and as much as I think they are equal geniuses, Stevie's songs are more important to me, her persona intrigues me more, and she held my hand once.

Plus she gave the world: "Rhiannon," "Gypsy," "Beautiful Child"!

I mean. Really.

p.s. -- ChilliD is essentially right. Even though she's "obscure"--this is a fan site. A place for people who KNOW the obscurities. So it is strange that Bekka was left off the poll. Even if she had gotten 0 votes, then fine: the people would have spoken. But at least they coulda chosen. That said:

p.p.s. -- Technically speaking, this poll is in the Rumours thread, so . . . technically . . . it's ok to leave out Bekka.
