My What-If, Christine Return Album

[The Chain]

Still reeling over Christine’s passing. Our lovely songbird basically taught me how to play keys right beside my childhood piano teacher. I’ve been upset over artists, public figures & the like dying in the past, but nothing comes close to how sad this is, it truly does feel like I lost a family member, a friend, in a way.

Needless to say, like most of us here I’ve been listening to her & the Mac nonstop since the news broke. I tweaked this playlist I’ve toyed with for a few years, a What-If of sorts, combining BuckVie & 24 Karat Gold. Of course it’s flawed by nature, the production on 24 KRT is very different.. Sharon, Lori.. But as songs themselves, I can imagine them working on this album if things had worked out differently with Stevie. And I know adding Friend might seem to be odd, but it works for me-though if the acoustic version was on Spotify I might have gone with that one. Maybe I’ll dig out a CD-R and burn a version with it.
