What should have been on the CD?
Now that we have all seen the concert, what do think should have been on the bonus cd? Assuming it could probably fit 16 or 17 songs on it, here is what I would do (in this order):
1) EOTW 2) Dreams 3) Peacekeeper 4) Say You Will 5) Landslide 6) Second Hand News 7) Beautiful Child 8) Rhiannon 9) Never Going Back Again 10) Come 11) Gypsy 12) Say Goodbye 13) Gold Dust Woman 14) Tusk 15) Standback 16) World Turning (edit- No Drum Solo!!!!!!!!!) 17) Goodbye Baby

All of the new ones, Beautiful Child, GDW, EOTW, I'm So Afraid, basically anything but Dreams. Also, Landslide, WITH the dedication.

It should have had 2 cds and 1 dvd and they could have fit the entire concert on both cds.
but, since that didn't happen..... The Chain Rhiannon SHN NGBA Come EOTW Big Love SG WTWCT BC GDW ISA SS Tusk SB GYOW WT (without the 12 minute drum solo) GB It's Lindsey heavy but Stevie dropped some songs and I'm sick to death of Dreams, Gypsy and Landslide. I can't imagine that any casual fan who bought anything in cd format at this point doesn't have enough versions of those songs. If it's my ultimate wish list, add in Red Rover, IKINW, Destiny Rules and Sara. I don't know if it fits on 1 cd or two and I didn't pay attention to the running order. |

I thought the whole concert should have gone on the cd. Especially Whats The World Coming Too, Good Bye baby, Beautiful Child, and Tusk.
Maybe they should have waited on the release and done what they did for the live on the tusk tour. Tape a bunch of shows and put the best songs from the best nights together. That way I could hope to hear Running Through the Garden, Destiny Rules, I know I'm Not Wrong and Red Rover as well. |

well if we're keeping them to 10 like th eCD we have this is what should've been on it:
The Chain Rhiannon Eyes of the World Come Never Going Back Again- A crime it was left off Beautiful Child- an even bigger crime Gold Dust Woman- the BIGGEST crime of all. This shouldn't have been left out I'm So Afraid Stand Back Go Your Own Way And It hurts to leave off Silver Springs and Tusk but there just aint enough room.

Quote:
I think the original intent for that album was to record the last two shows of the tour from the Hollywood Bowl and put out one complete concert. From what I've heard though from some of the more seasoned fans, the band was pretty much burned out by then and we would have had one snoozer of an album. An album following the TUSK tour should have at the least had TUSK on it! The Chain, Sisters of the Moon, Angel come to mind as tracks that probably should have been on there. |

Keeping it at ten songs, I wouldn't mind:
1. Eyes of the World 2. Gold Dust Woman 3. Say Goodbye 4. Landslide 5. Say You Will 6. Come 7. Beautiful Child 8. Never Going Back Again 9. Stand Back 10. Go Your Own Way It's balanced between the two singers, there's a good mix of the new songs (SG, SYW, Come - almost a third of the CD), it's not Dance heavy at all (2 songs), yet it isn't too obscure and people will know the songs on the album (esp. GDW, Landslide, NGBA, SB, GYOW). Personally, I'd like another 10-song CD after the end of this tour: 1. I Know I'm Not Wrong 2. Rhiannon 3. Red Rover 4. Say You Will 5. Sara 6. Second Hand News 7. Peacekeeper 8. Silver Springs 9. World Turning 10. Don't Stop |

The ultimate LIVE CD:
We have live versions of "SYW" and "PK" already from the two-disc SYW limited. I'm making MYSELF a twelve-song compilation from the Boston CD with these tracks, six from each writer: 1) Eyes of the World Incredible live track, lots of fun to sing along. 2) Second Hand News See above explanation. 3) Landslide Arguably one of the Mac's biggest legacy songs, and it would have to have the dedication, which says so much about this tour and the state of the band now. 4) Say Goodbye Absolutely a phenomenal, must-have performance. How this wasn't included is beyond me. 5) Beautiful Child A rarity in concert and a little more obscure choice. 6) Come Without a doubt! 7) Gypsy Incredibly, there has never been an official release of this as a live track on CD. 8) Never Going Back Again Great acoustic performance, better than the 1980 live version. 9) Gold Dust Woman Left off "The Dance," left off "Live in Boston," no excuse. This is a highlight of every night on the tour. 10) Stand Back Incredible, definitive performance of a classic song. 11) Go Your Own Way Another of Mac's legacy songs. 12) Goodbye Baby Great closer. I'll listen to THAT in my car for years. ~Jamie |
