Hey, no argument here. They might have achieve a better take. I also love the Jeff Beck Group albums, absolutely classic.

I´ve just discovered that there are two different versions of the 1967 track Stone Crazy featuring Peter w/Rod Stewart, Jack Bruce & Aynsley Dunbar.

The first is the well-known original, first released on the 2-LP "History Of British Blues (Vol. 1)" (credited to the Aynsley Dunbar Retaliation), and later available on Rod Stewart´s 2-CD "1964-1969".

The second version is the same take with lots of overdubs (organ, orchestra/strings, piano and percussion I think). I have no idea when it was overdubbed, but it´s not for the better...
