It's nearly impossible for me to pick just 10 songs, but here goes:

1)Songbird
2)Why
3)Hold Me
4)You Make Loving Fun
5)Everywhere
6)Little Lies
7)Spare Me A Little Of Your Love
8)Over My Head
9)Never Make Me Cry
10)Love Shines/Heart Of Stone

Honorable Mention would be:
Come A Little Bit Closer, Say You Love Me, Oh Daddy, Think About Me, Over and Over, Brown Eyes, Wish You Were Here, The Smile I Live For, Mystified, Behind The Mask & All Over Again

Good one.

Hard to pick 10. But I definitely agree that Why is up there. I'll have to go home and listen to it tonight. It's been a while. You Make Loving Fun and Mystified are also very cool.

Wondergirl, your choice of No. 1 is interesting. Definitely a catchy tune, but strip out Lindsey's production and you would have a very different song. I've always wondered what it would sound like without all the texture and harmonies.

I think that the demo can pretty much clarify us who wrote which part... Apparently Lindsey had both verses without bridge, and Christine came up later with the "the light that shines..." part and kept the lead vocal for herself. Nice choice, although because of that, I wouldn't say it's completely a Christine tune.

My choices:

1. Why
2. Songbird
3. Brown Eyes
4. Hold Me
5. Isn't It Midnight
6. Over My Head
7. Spare Me A Little Of Your Love
8. You Make Loving Fun
9. Over & Over
10. The Way I Feel w/ All Over Again

And special mentions to "Little Lies", "Everywhere", "Don't Stop", "Oh Daddy", "Never Make Me Cry", "Never Forget", "Wish You Were Here", "The Smile I Live For", "Hollywood (Some Other Kind Of Town)", "Behind The Mask", "Heroes Are Hard To Find", "Homeward Bound", "Prove Your Love" and soooooo many others...

Song of the moment - Brown Eyes

Cool Okeee......

Chilid...HAHAHA I'm a moron...sorry...I was cutting and pasting stuff and I didn't proofread, sorry. Whaddayagannado?

BTW, Number 6 should have been Oh Daddy.

Carnevaca...yep, it's a catchy tune, but it's my fave because of my own personal reasons....has nuttin to do with production quality or whatever...if THAT was the case, it WOULD be a different song. This list was for FUN, and it's about favorite songs, in everyone's OPINION. But, hey, maybe someone SHOULD do a thread on favorite Christine songs that don't have Lindsey's production qualities in them!!

Was this meant to be FM or solo too? I'm doing FM anyway.

Why
Over & Over
You Make Lovin Fun
Brown Eyes
Say You Love Me
Isn't it Midnight
Little Lies
Honey Hi
As Long As You Follow
Songbird (cause I'm a pianist!)

Yes, the virtue in many of these songs lies in Lindsey's arrangements. But ah, what can you do:s. Anyway, just becuase she doesn't trn the EQ nobs doesn't mean Christine probably has a fairly complex predetermination of at least some facets of the fuller arrangement.
Of course often the best facets of these cuts are the deadly vocal line. For almost that reason alone I put Honey Hi on the list. Her voice actually is like honey on that cut, especially with good stereo or surround sound!

Smile I like these

This was probably one of the easiest threads to respond to given the number of controversial ones currently circulating....but it still wasn't EASY!

In chronological order: except for the last two.........

1. Homeward Bound
2. Why
3. Just Crazy Love
4. Prove Your Love
5. Bad Loser
6. Over My Head
7. Oh Daddy
8. Over And Over
9. Brown Eyes
10. Hold Me........ and I have to include these too........

11. The Smile I Live For
12. Isn't It Midnight
13. Little Lies
14. Sooner Or Later
15. World Turning....one of my all time favorite Mac songs that she shared credits with Lindsey on.

Oh and "Did You Ever Love Me" has to be included too!!!

I really like Chris' Tusk & Tango songs. But here goes:

1. Why
2. You Make Loving Fun
3, Never Make Me Cry
4. Brown Eyes
5. Mystified

and then in no order...

Over My Head
Who's Dreaming This Dream
Spare Me A Little of Your Love
Never Forget
Isn't It Midnight

But also...

The Smile I Live For
Got a Hold on Me
Wish You Were Here
Hold Me
Say You Love Me (the white album version only)

It's a bit of fun speculating who contributed what to the songs. And there's a chance of these raving mad fans will actually know something to the contrary and be able to inform us!

I think Chris wrote (the bulk of) the lyrics to World Turning.
Lindsey would have had the overall concept and arrangement. So i can't really get it past being a Lindsey Buckingham song with some lyrics that, great though they may be, are palmed off Greeny anyway!
Agreed Joe (jwd), World Turning is one of my favs. You might say it's the White Album's 'Chain', or vice versa.
