Default Which side reigns supreme? Tango in the Night

And for the last album of the Rumours lineup (for now)-

Side 1-
1. Big Love
2. Seven Wonders
3. Everywhere
4. Caroline
5. Tango in the Night
6. Mystified

Side 2-
1. Little Lies
2. Family Man
3. Welcome to the Room... Sara
4. Isn't It Midnight
5. When I See You Again
6. You and I, Part II

Which side is your favorite?

I'm not a Tango fan, and my favorite song on the album is LL, but I went with side 1 since I also like SW and am okay with BL (prefer the solo acoustic version) and Everywhere.

The album opened with an amazing 123 punch, but... What a let down. Over all not bad.
Christine really saved this album! Little Lies is one of the band's bests. A little dated, but so what. Love the harmonies! It sounds great on this tour. Isn't it Midnight is a great and rare Christine rocker! Mystified is pretty, but just ok.

The rest of Lindsey's songs, like all his Mirage ones are just so so. Same with Stevie's WTTRS, I never skip it though.

I do love Stevie's WISYA, it's beautiful and so is her voice. I love Lindsey's part on the end. On my version of Tango, I added No Questions Asked after Mystified to bring Stevie back up in the mix. Too long of a wait til WTTRS. It's a decent rocker.

This is a tough one because Little Lies is by far my favorite song on this record, and yet side 2 also features some of the weakest material in the Rumours lineup history.

Outside of Little Lies, Isn't It Midnight, and You and I Part II (which I think sounds better with Chris singing the demo) side 2 is pretty awful, IMO.

Side 1 by a pretty large margin. I've noticed I always seem to pick side ones. The only thing that really makes me want to vote side 2 is 'Little Lies'; otherwise, Stevie, Lindsey and Christine's best songs on the album are all on side 1.

As a major Tango In The Night fan I feel side 1 is one of the most consistently strong sides of music of any Fleetwood Mac album.
Family Man, When I See You Again and You And I part 2 are a bit flimsy but I still love side 2 as well.

I started remembering some of the songs on Side 2 and began groaning uncontrollably.

Agreed about how good Isn't It Midnight is, but Caroline has always intrigued me. There's something really interesting about the song structure- I was always fascinated as a kid by the shape the lyrics made on the sleeve and I love the way the ending fits with the start of TITN.

Default Side 1

I love every song on Side 1 - yep, every track.

Side 2 has two of my favorite songs, however. Little Lies and Isn't It Midnight.

Buckingham and McVie shine on this record - Nicks adds a little glitter.

Thumbs up

Side 1 for the win. Perhaps the only side of a FM album where I really love every single song. I think the transition from the epic title track to the tragically under-appreciated Mystified is one of my fav song transitions of all time.

Tango is one of my favorite Mac albums, so this was tough. I choose side 1 even though side 2 contains my most favorite tracks, "Isn't it Midnight" and "Little Lies."
