Default Mick Fleetwood wants the LB/SN rift to heal

And so the media engine continues running and we are being prepared, it seems, for a possible reconciliation.

Buckingham left the band in 2018 due to tension with Nicks.

JUST SAY IT! You fired him. It was stupid and you now regret it. You catered to a spoiled prima donna instead of trying working it out somehow. The whole situation was handled badly, and to still pu$$y foot around it is so insulting to everyone, including fans. Whether they get together again or not it's over for me. It's all I can do to still enjoy the music they made from 75-82. Thanks Stevie, Azoff, and especially you Mick.

This is pathetic.

I'm done, too. I'll stay with the FM of the past.

MICK IS A LOSER.

Mick and the rest of the band allowed this situation to happen. Sounds like Mick is thinking about his own mortality and leaving the state of the band in a messy spot (not to mention the cash) He probably should have thought about that in 2018.

I guess he just assumes they can get John a bass from Guitar Center and be convinced to do something?

I'm having flashbacks of the infamous Mick Fleetwood 2010/2011 Playboy interview.

It's amazing how many people he and Stevie impacted with this fiasco. It spoiled the happy experience Christine had returning to the band and prevented a final album with all 5, it screwed Lindsey over (including a final farewell with Christine) AND it even trickled down to Brett Tuggle being put into an awkward situation after decades of working with them. I hope the tour checks were worth it, they screwed and hurt a lot of people that devoted substantial chunks of their lives to the band.

And the kicker is, that tour started well after the initial 3 month delay that Lindsey was initially asking for. All for nothing.

Can we go back years and resurrect my posts that said it was going to happen?
I hate being right so much around here

Stevie doesn’t seem up for reconvening Fleetwood Mac — with or without Lindsey. When you watch her do her own tour, she looks to be in heaven.

Mick split from his partner? It does seem to be a run of terrible things that affected Mick: the band melodrama, a split with a partner, the tragic fire in Maui, losing one of his oldest friends, and so on. And yet he still wants to get out there and play. In fact, he says he is working on a new album. Someone should suggest that he ask Neil and Mike Campbell and Lindsey and Stevie to help with the album — they don’t have to be together in the same room — and then he could call it Fleetwood Mac. At this point, what does it matter?

I loved his first two albums, but his 1992 album was a lot of shlock rock nonsense with the unprepossessing and not terribly brilliant Billy Thorpe.

I really dig The Visitor—it still sounds pretty fresh and unpretentious. I’m Not Me is a charming collection of 80s pop.

I really like all Mick’s solo albums. Something Big and Blue Again are also really good. It would be great if Billy, Rick and Lindsey made some contributions to Mick’s upcoming release.

I forgot about that one! I liked it, too.

Mick was very honest about the band planning or at least talked about a swan song tour in 2020. That is only natural for a band that has been functioning for so long to have a proper farewell. For God's sake they did it in 1990 and still came back. I definitely think Mick will ask Stevie and sort of want a make up even if its fake and only for profit. I dont see John taking part. But they will still call it Fleetwood Mac. Mick says he wants amends. Lindsey has said for years that he would go back. I think Stevie will commit to a tour for Mick's sake and for the band's legacy. Mick will keep asking her and she may agree out of guilt for her behavior and Mick's financial straights.
Do I want it? No. But this band is fairly predictable.

I feel the same exact way about both of his solo albums.

This article says Stevie actually had surgery and that's why she cancelled shows:

Despite cancelling shows in Manchester and Glasgow due to a “minor surgical procedure”, Nicks remains scheduled to resume her European tour by performing in London on July 12th.

Yes, I saw that. It was so underplayed that I’m assuming it was minor indeed.

Stevie hasn’t worn her boots on tour for months now because she either broke a toe or she had foot pain. But she still twirled and did the Edge Walk.

I am shocked this comment by Mick made Stevie’s cover story MOJO feature and that Mick chose to say this in her feature. I wonder if he’ll go backstage to see her when he’s at her concert in London tomorrow.
