I love it too. I went through a period a few years back of just playing it over and over again, which is pretty depressing in a way considering the subject matter But the lyrics are just brilliant. I also love Ambulance Blues, getting to hear him play that live last year brought tears to my eyes, it was so good.

I don't really care for anything on Bare Trees, and unfortunately that includes Christine's tracks. I don't think her songs are bad per se, but I think the whole production style of that album is super dated, very cliche, and just plain boring. I know that will make ChiliD yell at me, but it's just the way I feel. It seems this is their album after Peter's departure that they were still really trying to figure out who they were, and what direction they really wanted to go in. The lone exception on this album for me is Sunny Side of Heaven.

You have just summed up my entire attitude to Bare Trees.

If you want dated production, listen to (most of) 'Tango in the Night.'

Which album has "Sands of Time" on it? Nothing finer for groove than "Sands of Time."

I know this is a controversial choice for this board, but I always tend to skip "Calumny" whilst I pretty much enjoy "Temporary One", "Hollywood" and tend to turn up "Bad Journey".
