No, Dave Walker didn’t join the band until after Danny Kirwan was fired (August 1972). So Walker joined in late 1972.

. . . you're right, of course. My intention was to point out that the pic was taken before Walker's stint with Savoy Brown.

LazyPoker was talking about Walker joining Savoy Brown (after leaving Idle Race) which was in 1971, for the Street Corner Talking album. He held this position in Savoy Brown until late ‘72, when he quit to join FM (who paid more). And yes, this was after Danny’s “departure.”
