He'll be trying to sell it after the show.

Sheryl was pretty good, Bonnie was incredible, and Mick playing the talking drum had me choked up.

I shed a few tears sitting here watching that tribute. Not because it was some powerful amazing performance - I thought the beginning seemed a little rough, Sheryl seemed off, Mick definitely unnecessary and the beat just sounded off especially in the beginning, Bonnie sounded incredible and I thought the second half turned out beautiful. I shed tears seeing Chris’s name and beautiful picture up on that screen after all the others who died this year. It hurts knowing she’s really gone forever. I hope Chris realized what an impact she made on her peers and fans.

yep Sheryl was really pitchy, i was unpleasantly surprised. unfortunately, their tribute was by far the worst - other 2 were really good.

oh well.

also, i would have liked seeing Rick Turner and Brett Tuggle up there for in memoriam.

Hopefully he didn't accept her Grammy otherwise it might end up at the Pawn Shop.

It was more beautiful than I could have imagined. Sure, Sheryl sounded like she needed to rehearse it a few more times, but Bonnie was perfect and Mick managed to find a tasteful and lovely way to get a drum in there - it all came together as a really special moment. The fact that she was the grand finale of all the memorials shows how important and loved she was in the music industry, and I hope she knew that.

It still doesn’t feel real to me that she’s really gone though.

I'm excited to see it. Is there a recording yet?

people have posted videos and had them taken down (apparently by the Grammys)

here's one still up

Not a fan of the piano intro... sounds like half of it is missing

Also amusing that he mentioned Lindsey second. And disconcerting that he didn’t mention John at all - I really hope John is healthy and just living out his days on his boat enjoying life.
It was nothing to do with lack of rehearsal. Bonnie is just a more emotionally evocative singer than is Sheryl (and I like Sheryl). It was lovely as it was, but would have been better with Bruce Hornsby on piano and Bonnie singing the whole song herself.

Or, just have Bonnie on piano. She’s a piano player, too. That’s her on “Nick of Time” and “I Can’t Make You Love Me.”

Bonnie is another white woman who was just at home singing and playing the blues as she was AOR pop. I could see them being friends.

She might not have sang it as well if she had to play it too.

I found the YT interview where Mick announces the end of the band. Surprising he would announce as much so straightforwardly, but he must know John is retired – and without a McVie you can't have Fleetwood Mac.
