Exit poll data positive for Obama in Va., Ind.
That's nice.

Didn't need to wait for the polls to close. Once I saw Vigo County (and a few others, including Wells), I knew Gramps was done for in Hoosierland. This was a ruby red state 30-45 days ago.

Three words that will haunt the GOP in this election:

Bush
Bush
Bush

Damn, McCain won Texas

Obama 200
McCain 124

Yes, I would.

Unless something happens to California, Oregon, Washington state, etc. - Obama is the Prsident elect.

I am happy for him, the country, and myself.

I don't know whether to laugh or cry with joy, actually I am doing some of both. The only thing that could happen out here to stop us going for Obama would be if the big one hit and we all broke off into the sea ..which is something the McCain campaign is likely desperately hoping for at this point.

according to the Discovery Channel when CA finally sinks Oklahoma will be the new West Coast - and I will FINALLY have that ocean view I always wanted

Hah, "Stuart Smalley" is winning in Minnesota...Weird.

Obama 207
McCain 135

I wonder since Andrew Rice was only 35, (and I'm older than he is) could I run against Jim Inhofe in 2012??? I could see myself as the INDEPENDENT U.S. Senator from the Great State of Oklahoma!!!

Oh - I cried tears of joy. I also am a little apprehensive about Obama. I am not really a huge fan of his, though I voted for him. The one thing I cling to about him is he is very smart and a constitutional lawyer, which is a good thing in a President.

Also, I am happy it appears Mary Landrieu (D-LA) is going to keep her seat. That is saying something in that state, which has turned very religious far right in the last eight years. On edit - she may lose it now, though half the precincts are not reporting and I belive that includes Orleans Parish, which is the largest and likely will support her.

I also feel a little sorry for McCain. I see only shards of the once mostly honorable man. But, he picked his path and now he has walked down it. Such is life.

Now, the nail biter of California's Proposition 8
