Nope, only two marching band competitions and my high school graduation. My last proper visit was in 1996. Since then, I've only been around anybody with the last name "MacDougall" for a total of 12 days if I'm being liberal, 10 days if I just include the current living MacDougalls, and 4 days with MacDougalls of my generation (my two half-siblings and my cousin); the last time I was around any MacDougall was in 2004. (Cue up Everclear.)

Last year, I reunited with my birth family. My birth parents got married three weeks before my adopted parents got divorced, had three more children, and are still very happily married. They've come down for visits, I've gone up for visits. Hell, my parents, sisters, and brothers-in-law went to a GbV show in Chicago! My brother has since become a father, and made me my nephew's godfather. I've spent a total of 55 days in one year with them so far. I am one of them. I thought my name should reflect that.

Well, if it's any consolation prize, there are ton of beer jokes that can be made now. My new cheesy pick-up line for the girls at geek bars is "Hey, wanna Hopslam?" (See, now every time you see Hopslam at a bar, you're gonna think of that stupid joke.)
Stephen, I can see the family resemblance, especially between you and the baby. What will your new avatar name be?

Its time to get the canoe out because everything is flooded here with all of today's rain.

It could be worse if it was snow.

Cool Well...

Rocklahoma 2013 looks promising this year, with Guns N Roses, Alice in Chains, Korn, Cheap Trick, Steel Panther, etc.

http://rocklahoma.com/

Edit: Decided to see how good of a ticket I could get for the FM show in Tulsa on May 1st, pulled up a decent floor seat (F5 Row E Seat 1) but I wont be attending due to possible conflicts with work schedule.

I'm going to see George Jones tonight, for the first time(it's his farewell tour[he's 80], so I figure that I have to see him once!)!

I love George Jones.Yes none of these so called country artists of today cant fill his shoes and including the rest of the classic country artists of his generation and Stevie's generation to that matter.

Have a great time.

I sort of saw him in concert. Well, a few songs anyway. It was an outdoor show, and a few songs in there was a massive downpour. I was pissed. I mean, why can't THAT happen during, say, a Robert Cray show?

Thanks! It was a good show, although he has been sick lately. His voice wasn't very strong, (and you could tell that he was frustrated, as he would shake his head, and occasionally "grasp" at his throat). But all in all, so happy that I got to see one of the legends!

I saw two people from my first band today. Told them about Espy Hopkins. They liked it.
