I take it to mean sort of "niche" i.e. not for a mass audience, but for a select group of people (i.e., die-hard Lindsey fans).

Similar to the idea of a "boutique hotel".... which is defined as "a type of hotel that feels small, intimate, and quaint" or "The difference between 'boutique hotel' and 'hotel' is that the boutique hotel has more independence, more uniqueness, and potentially more style. Compared to the 'average' hotel, a boutique hotel will generally have a unique theme or strong personality and character." and "Boutique hotels have a unique design, a much more intimate atmosphere, and center around small details"

Nice way of saying "not for everyone" and more diplomatic than saying "vanity project"

I think John was fine w curry beyond a certain point. I mean they worked together on so many tours... John had to get over it lol. but it would be nice to see some sort of acknowledgement from a band member.

I chatted w a guy who worked for curry's company a couple years ago-- curry had gone to chris's memorial that the band had, and mentioned to this guy how shattered john was there, how he needed the cane to walk that night. He felt compassion for him and what he'd been through, which was nice. He seemed to be a very well-liked and well-respected person.

Jimmy Paxson made a very heartfelt post about Curry, yesterday.

I’m hearing Curry Grant has passed away. The guy was always so kind to me and though we mainly hung out on the job (or when he’d visit the jobs) he always made me feel like we were the best of friends. He was a heart of gold, a sweet caring human and a total legend. The mutal admiration heteeen us was always on 11. My heart goes out to family, friends and fans everywhere, Lindsey Grant especially… To Lorraine Michaels Grant, Lori Nicks and the entire SN, FM, LB, CMv family - Christopher A. Nicks, Glen Parrish and all the rest… Nothing but love and I wish we were all together right now. Rest on Curry. I didn’t see this one coming. 💔Shocking.

at least someone in that circle has some class. (I'm sure he's not the only one, but...)

Jimmy seems like a very humble, down to earth guy.

A lesson the rest of them could learn from... you know, if they weren't 80 and self absorbed.

Rest peacefully, Curry.

Didn’t Curry manage a few of the Mac tours, too, after John Courage retired?

I know he did lights for the Rock a Little tour, and I assume he also did the lights for Christine’s 1984 tour. Anybody know for sure? Without an official tourbook, it was hard to know who was doing what.

The Mac family is losing more and more great people.

Yes. The passage of time is relentless.

I was reading Curry worked also for Supertramp, Hall & Oates; his lighting designs can be seen on MTV videos produced for many different performers, including Aerosmith, Whitesnake, Poison, and Chaka Khan. He must have had many stories to tell.

I can picture him in my mind in one of her tour books in the photo collage section, just can't remember any more which one. If I remember, it'll be a good excuse to dig them out and look.

R.I.P. Diddler.

Odds are he probably diddled my least favorite member, too.

She's infamously talked about the many boyfriends who ended up being not so comfortable with her job/lifestyle after all and who tried to get her to change her life around.... I recall more than one interview where she complains about having had a lighting director boyfriend who complained that he thought the audience could see up her skirts onstage and how she would argue with him that "no they can't" and then went thru the list of how she was wearing tights, leotard, something something, and then umpteen skirt layers....

Not to say she only banged one lighting director in all these years.... but the time she was going on about it totally fit Curry

Her titties were about to flop out of their holster on Eyes Of The World, during the Mirage video.

OTOH, Christine acknowledged the passing of George Hawkins at a show.

Still not as risqué as Harold.
