The song isn’t too bad, actually.
But his voice is so strong and powerful these days, he drowns hers out.

I know it’s HIS album but I think he should have just toned the volume, on his voice, down a little.

Stevie's voice sounds electronic.
Too bad they didn't come out with a memorable duet like Don't Go Breaking, I'm Going to Love Me Again, or Ordinary Man. Maybe this would be better as a country western song.

I think it's more that they toned HER voice DOWN in the mix....only so much of that nasal twang one can take.

Another forgettable song. Lame.

I was surprised how high she could sing…..in comparison to her normal ..
I wish she would sing in a quieter tone and not have such a strident sound to her voice.

It has a Meatloaf feel to me.

Too bad it's a pandemic album--a music video with these two mismatched, strangely-dressed geezers engaging in grand theft auto would have been a hoot.

Yes, she does hit some high notes….the more I listen to it the more I like it.

Is it singing or yelling/screaming?

I certainly like her voice more than Elton's. My goodness his voice can't compete with The Piano Man's.

That first line of hers kind of shocked me - it’s so low. And I’m pretty accustomed to her Granny voice.

The song is better than I expected and how they handled her scraggly vocals was smart and helped make the song work. She should have help electronically with her vocals all the time to remain listenable.

That first line sounds normal. The chorus singing sounds artificial. When I listen to this song, I don't feel like I'm listening to Stevie. I know she's on it but it doesn't feel like an Elton and Stevie Nicks song. It's kind of like Money For Nothing as in Stevie would be Sting in Stolen Car.

When she sings alone, the deeper voice, I know it’s her, but you’re right I don’t recognise the duetting voice at all.
I don’t think for one minute she can sing so high….
unless she has a helium balloon, alongside her.

Thank you for sharing, sue! It's like she's trapped in a small glass room somewhere shouting.

Is it accurate to call this Stolen Car by Elton John and Stevie Nicks or is it Elton John featuring Stevie Nicks?
