Ah yes, this is before her official announcement that she was coming back. What they are referring to is what turns into BuckVie songs.

God, that would have been amazing if she had 10 songs that were unreleased.

Dan might be the only one who has heard them?

Oh, yeah, I remember this. She said if she didn’t get to rejoin FM, she’d put her own solo tour together. I was hoping for that! But I’m glad she ultimately rejoined. Of those songs she was working on—I’m pretty sure at least three of them carried over into the duet album with Lindsey.

Exactly—and yes, I remember being super-pissed when those new songs she was sharing with Lindsey kept getting shelved while band politics played out. I kept thinking we’d have been better off if she’d done a project herself! I’m still not sure the duet album was preferable.

For her journey, it's best she and Buck did the album and tour. She grabbed back her own star light in the context of what she was comfortable with. I.E. coming back AND at her age.

Utopia for us would be album tour solo. God!!!

One of those minor home video labels could release the Christine McVie Video Album, which included the Reseda Country Club concert and two MTV videos.

There is also the Making of documentary somewhere in MTV’s basement.

I have the original on VHS, and then somebody here sent me a DVD rip off it, years ago.

What I truly want is the Mirage DVD, with ALL the songs, even if they've not been overdubbed(I'd actually prefer that). Just the true live audio.

Warts are far more interesting.

I’m with you 100%. The 1982 tour was the MAC at their best. No “extended band” and no pre recorded tracks.

Today that photo would be photoshopped. Its a real shot, piano and all on top the mountain right outside the recording studio.

edit: I was looking for the photo shoot on her laser disc video album and it's there. I got captivated because its been so long since I have seen the first half. I used to skip ahead to the concert. I just cant get over how young everyone is. I was 13 when this was recorded and she was about 40. Now I am so much older than she is here. Sort of freaky. Billy Burnette looks like a baby. Its so weird to hear him say he never played in a band before. Just wait 3 more years Billy.
I love them jamming in the studio. Simply incredible. I wish I could have been there as the coffee boy every morning bringing them coffee and lighting their smokes.
Here is part 1. I've seen it many times but got captivated. Definitely one of the most underrated albums of the 1980s. Besides Bella Donna, its tied with In The Meantime as my favorite Mac solo album.

It truly was the end of them being A BAND. No orchestra. No backup singers. No f*cking tracks.

And they still looked naturally good.

My ultimate FM wish would be the complete Mirage, sans overdubs
