I love Mystery and its always been a toss up which album is better. Why is such a strong lure to Mystery so that is impossible to ignore.
Its shocking to look back at Heroes being released in Sept 1974 and only a few months later Stevie and Lindsey join. They did that brilliant radio concert in December 1974 which was wonderful. Its sad we never got Mystery To Me and Heroes Are Hard To Find tours. Lots of drama killed any tours sadly Heroes is almost like a throw away album since its rarely even mentioned or played. You may hear a song from earlier albums but Heroes is like the step child which is ignored yet it was their first album to crack the top 40 with NO single and NO hits and NO airplay and NO tour. Go figure.

Edit: Silly us. We overlooked the biggest clue and signal some of these albums have not received platinum status. Mick does not have any of them listed for sale He is selling the gold Bare Trees but is keeping the platinum one I guess
You know, I always listened to the single "Heroes", and Come A Little Bit Closer. Aren't both of them on The Chain boxed set? god, I've not listened to that for quite a while, either. I need my fan card revoked! When cars had MULTI CD players, I'd put that sh*t into rotation. I only have a single player now, and barely mess with it.

I have a '22 car and NO CD player. I am not a digital music person and I miss having a CD player in the car. I have a relatively new Bose CD stereo that sounds incredible and I still play CDs. I still buy CDs. I bought the Buck/Vie CD and the Songbird CD.
Its neat to dig out an old CD and play it through. About 9 months ago I listened to Tusk in its entirety for the first time since probably decades. When I had albums I always dropped the needle on songs. I rarely just let albums play out.

I don't want a new car due to not having cd players, but mainly because I HATE the adaptive cruise control. "Dear car, only I am driving this car. I brake when I choose.... you have no input as to this process! " Have I mentioned that I hate adaptive cruise control?

I still buy cds. I like owning physical copies.

Lying by the pool, or cleaning house, is about the only time I listen to cds in their entirety.

I do not see these numbers on RIAA database. Do they need to pay for RIAA to recertify?

My understanding is the record company must request it. It may involve some money. Who knows. But its hard to get a count on those older records. With digital sales today is another factor. People buying Mystery To Me are probably more likely to buy on CD than a digital download. That's me but who knows.

Rumours had been in top 25 best-selling albums 2020 - 2022 in USA. This is not old anymore!
