I heard "Never Forget" Saturday night while having drinks with friends in the courtyard at the Hotel San Jose here in Austin. I nearly fell out of my chair with surprise. The hotel has DJs on weekends, and they always play a really cool eclectic mix of music. Never expected to hear that particular Mac song, tho!

This has to be the winning entry for the entire thread! Though it's not FM, I heard the B side to the Edge of Seventeen 45 single on the radio and nearly fell out of my car. Anyone want to guess what song this was? |

Isn't the B side the live version of Edge? I've never heard it on the radio so it certainly falls under the "Unexpected" category.

I must have radar. It seems like every time that I turn on the radio .Stevie or FM is playing on the station when I turn it on.Its spooky at times.
I can see it in my mind as I reach for the power button that transmits a signal to the radio stations studio to a light that flashes "Skip is tuning in so put on Stevie/FM tunes". last Sunday I heard EO17 soon as I turned on my radio.

While I was driving home from work today, the radio was playing The Devil Went Down to Georgia of all things. I started thinking about how Stevie would sound singing harmony on it. Then I started thinking about Stevie singing Landslide for no reason in particular. When Devil ended, the 1975 version of Landslide came on next.

You win the prize! It got quite a bit of radio airplay in 1982 in Connecticut.

I was in Arundel Castle the other week. Which is a bit ol' local castle-come-stately-home with bits dating back to the middle ages:
Pretty, right? So. In the cafe on the first floor they were, strangely enough, playing Paper Doll. Which totally did not match the setting at all, in my mind, to the point that I didn't even really register what the song was until my husband pointed it out to me excitedly towards the end of its run. And uh, yeah. There was a bit of grooving to be had after that. Life was good. I don't even especially like Paper Doll, but any obscure SN song played in the middle of a historic English site is going to bring me some joy. Yes, even you, Jane. |

I remember having a dream that there was a castle up on the hill up the road from me.In the dream I was walking in the woods coming up to the ruineds of it.

You didn't post anything for what seemed like a 3 week period and I was afraid we had lost one of the few people around here with some real sensibility.

I heard 'Silver Girl' at United Grocery Outlet. That was definitely Unexpected FM!

And was it preceded by RTTG? Because if so, they couldn't sell groceries cheap enough to lure me back into that place.
