Three pictures from People Magazine, 1976. Just discovered these today.The article was printed a day before my birthday, on May 17th. It had this hilarious quote from our Chris:

"It takes stamina to stay in rock. Lots of girls try it and slip by the wayside. You have to take care of yourself and avoid the weird drugs, or even the heavy-duty Southern Comfort stuff. You can definitely fall down and end up in an asylum. But I don't see why a girl couldn't sit down and learn lead guitar," she continues. "I daresay to a guy it'd be rather sexy," she adds, mock-riffing on an imaginary ax. "But I guess it is a bit butch. I like to retain my femininity, even in jeans[she has 40 pairs]. I don't want to come off the least bit lezzo-leather jumpsuits and all that."

Lezzo.

Later in the aricle, she also states that "female groupies" line up for her, but not sexually. "Thank god". Hahaha. Damn.

Luckily at least John and Chris were having fun in this photo shoot, the other three seemed just gotten back from a funeral. The photographer must have been so glad.

You know what...I didn't even notice that before, but now that you mention it...Chris and John look to be the only "happy" ones during this shoot...or at least they appear to be having some fun! hmmmm...maybe they made a visit to "Christine's refrigerator" before hand...
