Used to circulate as 9.23.75 but apparently this October date is true blue.

Listen to those three lovely singers harmonize on World Turning and Blue Letter. Did Blue Letter ever sound better vocally?

I wouldn’t be averse to getting a Rhino CD of this if they work with a source audio file. On the other hand, we’re pretty sure that other concerts around this time contained some real gems, like Frozen Love and Go Your Own Way.

Imagine what kids in the audience thought when they saw Lindsey (the new guy) play World Turning and sing. That picking pattern probably made them think they were listening to two guitarists. I can almost see them looking around the stage for the second player. I think he blew heads in those days when most people were entirely unfamiliar with him.

Stevie and Lindsey sure could hit those high notes on Over My Head

They RAISED the key of Why a whole step, when S&L joined. From D>E.

I listened last night. These were the kids I fell in love with. Those vocals on Why and the perfection on Rhiannon. Chris really shines. You can hear her playing so clearly.

Wow, this is killer. Thanks for posting. I am just now getting around to listening, but really enjoyed Green Manalishi, and World Turning. Though, they're all a treat to listen to -- ear candy!

This has always been my favorite live set of the period. The intro is great and then Christine takes a big gasp, says “Right, let’s do it,” then starts pounding out those opening chords to Get Like You Used to Be. Classic.

Update: I listened to GLYUTB. It sounds so crisp! You can really hear the great things she’s doing on the piano in the mid-section. Sadly, they’ve omitted her “Ahhhhh, right, let’s do it.”
