I also remember an interview where the band said they practiced for several days leading up to the inauguration, which I always thought was insane, all that rehearsal for just one song! But I’m sure they were nervous because of the scope of the performance and because they hadn’t performed live since what, 1982? Well, they did in 1990, I guess.
In 1995 she was asked about Bill Clinton. He exact words were: "I would have never voted for him but I was honored he picked our song".
Thats a class act!

There is a funny political question in the Dance rehearsal interviews where the guy from Entertainment Tonight and brought up the inauguration. He asked if it was something they would consider doing in the UK. He threw out the example of Tony Blair who was a newly elected Labor Prime minister. You should have seen Chris and John's reaction. Even though it was casual in nature and Tony Blair was given as an example, Chris clapped back that they would never do anything for the Labor party. You would have thought the interviewer pointed a gun at them. Their reaction was very bold.

I dont know why they needed to practice to a recorded track. I remember Lindsey specifically saying they did not need to practice since they could play the song in their sleep. Maybe things were not right during practice and felt the need to pre-record the track.

Oh you!

I wasn’t aware Christine wasn’t a US citizen at the time; maybe the comments she made suggested she wouldn’t have voted for Clinton.

i found the link to that...at 6:49...chris says 'ooo we'd have to think very carefully about that', and it was actually john that said ,'not labour.'

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=iGBji-8-3jo

and here's link to the interview where chris said she probably would have voted democrat, at 5:09... i guess later on she had a change of heart about that! (and of course john next to her then says 'I voted...for one of 'em' lol argh he's so adorable.)

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=4Lc7hE9TIr0&t=940s

i wonder if the rehearsal was more to get an understanding of what else would be happening while they played...like when in the song chris had to invite clinton to join them, who would be coming up on the stage surrounding them etc..it does seem odd to have to rehearse don't stop for 3 days lol

Who's job was it to tape the tambourine?

"We cant have Stevie out there rattling that thing during a live bloody telecast" Who's gonna tell her? Do you think she will notice? She'll ruin the whole thing. "

Reminds me of Making Rumours when Ken said that they’d give Stevie a tambourine so she’d have something to do but not actually record it, and then have Mick record the real tambourine bits later.

I’m not sure if Lindsey actually looks unusually thin, or if he’s just his normal size but the suit is several sizes too big. He looks like a little kid playing dress up in his dad’s clothes. It’s kind of adorable.

I'll bet Lindsey was the tambourine taper!

I think you’re spot on about why he looks so thin here- the suit is too big.

Very Miami Vice… but a decade too late.

He looks like a teenager wearing his dad’s suit.

I doubt Stevie ever voted or even thought about such things until Karen, or whoever it is, started carefully curating her new, disingenuous, opportunistic, manufactured for social media image. I remember her telling David Letterman that she thought President Clinton was "too young."

Dear Lord. Indiana schools are worse than I thought.

Who’s vs. whose
Both who’s and whose come from the pronoun who (shocking, right?).
Who’s is a contraction, meaning it’s two words stuck together. The formula: who + is, or who + has.
For example: who’s hungry?
Whose is a possessive pronoun. Use it when you’re asking (or telling) to whom something belongs.
For example: whose sandwich is this?

Who's going to tell her aka who is going to tell her

Got it?
And aren't you one of the ones attacking Chris for Skies The Limit?
Thats like Mike Pence living in a glass house throwing corn cobs.

That was an odd answer she gave.

I think there was a post by The Nicks Fix years ago that said Stevie was a Republican. Or maybe it was her father.
