Heart Heart

So I saw Heart in Selbyville, DE, @ the Freeman Stage this past Friday night. I was really looking forward to it. I hadn't seen them in five years in Atlantic City, NJ. Let's just say that I had a better experience in AC than in my own home state. I joined the fan club thinking I'd get good seats in the pre-sale. I was wrong there. Though I was in the third row, I was so far right of the stage that I had a better view of the pond next to me than the stage! Now don't get me wrong, I still love Heart, I liked their show though the set list was better in AC, but the people drinking a lot next to me & my husband really ruin the experience. We had the end seats, right side & these people drank & drank & then you know where they had to go. They went back & forth, back & forth. I lost count! One girl, I'll call drunk girl, tried to high-tail it to the front row & got stopped by a security guy. One guy with drunk girl, but not the bf, tried using flash & got stopped. Once drunk girl was so into it, she stood on her chair. Once the one guy almost ran my husband over to get out though my husband was already out in the aisle. I tried taking pics, some were OK. I tried taking videos & that didn't go so well. I don't know what the rules of YouTube are, but on one, drunk girl is calling someone in her group a jacka**. I probably can't post this video. They sang along loudly to this same, one song that I was recording. I want to hear Ann not them singing. At the end, Heart's encores were not Heart songs, they are three Led Zeppelin songs. Ok, I'm not a big LZ fan, but one would have been enough. I would have rather heard more Heart songs. It was not a good experience.

But then I went to our state fair last night, saw the giraffes & the other animals, & this cheered me up!

I love Heart.I never seen them live yet.

It seems like the same to me.I enjoy concerts that are not in Connecticut then the local venue shows.I love going to Atlantic City for shows .I missed going to see FM last winter because of the bad weather. Oh the drunks always ruin the show.I would be happy with a booze ban at the shows and dont let them enter if they are drunk before the show from tailgating in the parkinglot.

Me to with LZ .I love "Stairway To Heaven " but not much other tunes from them.Stevie could axe "Rock and Roll " from her solo setlist and I wont miss it.

I love Heart but their biography didn't make me think more of them.

Post Article

A small article on the show from the local newspaper on-line:

I may post a video to YouTube shortly. It might be one, the opener, & maybe another one, Alone, though this one is the sing-along, but it wasn't me.

Smile Video - Magic Man

Here is one video:

And someone needed a drink or a bathroom trip right in the middle of the song, of course!

Ann & Nancy sounded great!

Smile Another video

and probably the last one. The other ones I have aren't too good.

https://youtu.be/dIDrYLPLUQE

I'm posting it despite it being a sing-along (not me) & despite someone calling someone in her group a jacka** in the beginning.

Ann is an amazing singer & it should be seen & heard.

Probably some drunk was shouting it out.

OK thanks. My Nikon Coolpix sucks with the sound. It ruined the Mac footage's from this tour with distorted sound . Yours came out great with Heart.

Thanks for the nice comments about the sound & the video. Actually we were by a speaker, so it does sound like a lot of bass.

My very first camera was (& I still have it) a Nikon Coolpix. It always made a clicking sound & the sound was always a little messed up. I thought is was the camera, but it just must be this brand.

Oh, yeah, it was drunk girl in our row that called someone in her group a jacka**. Well, they were all very drunk!

No problem.I figure the Nikon's was having issues with other people too.The Coolpix did a awesome job taking snapshots and closeups at the Mac shows. They just stink with the audio but the video part looks great.

Hahaha They were very drunk..I hope they had a sober driver that night.

Back to Heart.I'm glad that they are still making the rounds around the country.I always enjoy their tunes.

Their music reminds me when I was in school.
