So what are you all doing for thanksgiving 10'?

On Thursday, my obnoxious family from Queens is coming over and, as usual, I'm gonna hide in my room from the chaos of my aunt (she's my mom's sister and one of the nastiest, most biggoted people I know).

On Friday, I have to go up to Connecticut to visit my other aunt, who's my dad's sister. These days, I've come to tolerate her much more than my other aunt, but I'll also be meeting my cousin's baby boy too.

Me? Eat a lot of food and enjoy the two days off from work, but moan about having to work Saturday and Sunday.

That's not much better than me having to work Friday

I don't know if I'll be home for Thanksgiving anymore. My mom flipped a lid.

So I may be chilling in a dorm room eating top ramen.... we'll see.

Be thankful none of you have to deal with on 2 different days 2 very different people in 2 very different places that are both my parents' respective sisters. Come to think of it, I can take my CT aunt, as long as she doesn't cook (you probably all know about the crunchy baked ziti story), but my Queens aunt has gotten so biggoted you don't wanna know. Hell, I will only say some of the stuff via PM if you want.

EDIT: And I want that turkey!

The last several years have been extremely stressful when going to my parent's house for the holidays... mainly because I have an out of control addict brother. So this year I'm just staying in Texas and am having a peaceful, wonderful holiday with just my other half, myself, and our puppy dog. We've ordered a Thanksgiving meal from the grocery store, so we're just going to throw it all in the oven and keep it a stress free day!

I just can't wait... Thanksgiving is one of my favorite holidays, and I'm finally reclaiming it!

The bf's dad is coming into town and we'll have dinner with him and bf's mom & sister. And we're running in the Turkey Trot that morning.

I don't deal with my bio-relations anymore, and the last 5 Turkey Days & Xmases without them have been the happiest and most stress-free I've ever had.

Thursday night at midnight is my 21st birthday

I'm staying in Boston with my favorite people in the world, my gay best friend is making a Thanksgiving dinner, and we're going out.

AHH I'm coming off of a perfect weekend this past weekend, I have one class this week (tomorrow at 11), and then I head into town to be with them on Tuesday night. This holidy is going to be amazing. CANNOTWAIT.

^^ Happy birthday! Hopefully you won't go out and get stupid drink at some t*tty bar (not that I would know about these things, of course

). Actually I remember going out for dinner, drinking the largest Long Island iced tea ever made and then laughing inappropriately at an awkwardly Anglicized Japanese anime movie. I don't remember too much after that.

For T-day, it will be a repeat of the last few years: parents come up, we go shopping around the city, we drive out to my house on Long Island, they complain about my pathetic life, we rake leaves, they cook, we go shopping (they pay for everything!) and then I drop them off at Penn Station on Sunday night. No matter how old I get, I always end up feeling like a bratty, insecure teenager by the end of the long weekend. I wonder why!
