I never got the Dylan thing either, his voice is horrible and I can never get past that to his supposed poetry. I just don't get the appeal.

The Police, I actually like them save for one thing, many of their songs have a phrase that is repeated ad nauseum. Can't effing stand it.

OMG no Skynnard!!! I hate them the MOST!!!!! Freebird and SHA need to just...go away...

I hate Skynnard so much that my friends know to play them to bug me.

Btw, Im not a huge Stones fan either... :/
I do like a few of their songs (start me up, satisfaction, get off my cloud, brown sugar, and paint it black). That's all I can tolerate though lol

Once Aerosmith quit drugs and starting recording ****ty Desmond Child/Diane Warren songs, they lost all their credibility and likability.

I like them, but loathe Roxanne. I saw Sting solo a few years ago, and the torture went on for 10 minutes! I saw the Police at Wrigley, and mercifully it ran the usual time.

Why did the album cover turn you off them? I've never heard of someone disliking a band cause of the album cover.

I didn't initially see this until it was recently quoted. Do you realize your uncle has/had one of the rarest Beatle album covers? It's the infamous "Butcher" 'Yesterday and Today' cover and is now worth (mono-$7500, stereo $12,000)! Does your uncle still have it?

Capitol records didn't print many of them, and quickly replaced the cover. I'm sure a lot of them were burned in the south when the bible thumpers threw a collective fit over John Lennon's Jesus comment in 1966.

If you're a fan of the pop era of Fleetwood Mac, you're doing yourself a disservice not giving the Beatles a chance. Albums such as "Rubber Soul", and "Revolver" would fit nicely with any fan that likes "Rumours". I'll throw in "Abbey Road" as well.

My favorite Beatles Album is Beatles '65. I love the innocense of it. Sweet songs like Mr. Moonlight and I'll Follow The Sun.

There is also a number of ones that were printed with the original cover but because they'd already gone through when they had to be changed, they had the new cover pasted over the top. I have one of the ones that has had the second cover removed. It cost about $2000 as I recall and they're a good collectors item but not worth anything like the ones that never even had the second cover stuck over the top. I also have a piece of paper that has notes written by George Martin and then John Lennon over the top which is assumed to be in reference to the production of A day in the Life. It's pretty damned cool.

I just asked a friend last nite who his favorite band/artist is and he said Dylan. I told him it figures because we don't actually have much in common at all.

The Grateful Dead. their whole scene sounded so groovy when I was younger, and I thought that they would be a band I'd love just based on my friend Tim's raving over them (he was a Head, and would go on tour the entire summer all over the US)

than I heard them. I didn't find them appealing at all, and I was disappointed because I was expecting something so cosmic and far-out and instead it sounded just so average.

Lynard Skynard, Foghat, don't get me started. I used to work as a DJ at a bar 5 years ago and every Friday night the same old crap from this on DJ. I played good stuff. I am so sick of hearing "Sweet Home Alabama". If I had a nickel for everytime a cover band played that song, or the radio or of all the times that DJ I worked with had to play it....well I would have a sh*t load of nickels! Also, "Shook Me All Night Long", by AC/DC. Can't stand it! I like AC/DC, but sometimes I can only take soooo much.

The Eagles/Don Henley/Joe Walsh
The Grateful Dead
The Beach Boys
Kiss
ZZ Top
Styx
Rush
Elton John
Jimmy Buffett
Bob Seger
Billy Joel
Bruce Springsteen
Jane's Addiction -not exactly classic rock, but I loathe that band.

Well my wife hates pretty much all my music, Dylan, FM, Bonnie Tyler, Rod Stewart, Heart, Pat Benatar, etc. They do say opposites attract.
