Eyes of the World Demo
http://www.hometown.aol.com/hlharbaugh/page7.html
This great site has the EOTW demo up. I personally haven't heard it until now and I'm knocked out; I think I like it better than the studio version! It's not as polished, but it's got lots more echo, lots more energy (except it doesn't have that screaming guitar outro.) I know there's a lot of EOTW fans like me here so if you haven't heard this before go check it out!

you're right!!!
....An awesome version! I love how he's singing it. All the themes are there...sounds very Tusky to me! The only thing that's lacking is that killersolo in the end....
Thanks for the link!! gerald

I like it too!
I like the woah-oh-oh's!! He should have kept those in. His voice sounds so strong and great!!

I've always hated the studio version of this, but both the live version and this demo are SOOO much better! I really think it has a lot to do with the "ooohs" and the minimization of the insipid "Eyes.... eyes.... eyes... eyes.... eyes..... eyes.... eyes.... eyes!" You get the picture, lol.

I really like this demo too. I also like some of his other demos from this era like Blue Monday and Goodbye Angel. I don't understand why songs like Empire State got on Mirage and not these.

Totally rocked!
Thanx for the link!
It really was awesome! The guitars in there were just beautiful! The lyrics didn't change much, yet the "woahs" were also really a nice addition. Thanx again, DownOnRodeo!

Ur.... Blue Monday!? I don't have that. Is it available for download somewhere?
Love this demo, but the official version is still tops with me. There is some gorgeous guitaring on that song. I also love the Out of the Cradle tour version, especially when he totally mangles the second verse. Priceless. |

I've always like the studio version of EOTW. It's always been a favorite song of mine. But I do like this demo too. The one demo of Lindsey's songs from the Mirage sessions that I really do prefer to the album version is Can't Go Back.
