The guitar licks offended you?

I think I found it. Was this the cassette version?

That was not my album version. I bought Mirage in 1983 and not immediately after it came out. Maybe that was the difference? My album had all the overdubs and guitar licks that offended Homer. It matches my CD.
The posted version has no overdubs and electric guitar ending. My album had them.

I’m curious, what’s the other song by Christine you dislike?

I’m surprised how many people dislike Blue Letter. I absolutely love it, I think Lindsey and Stevie sound great, and it feels like a FM song- upbeat music with lyrics about a break up. I like Monday Morning a lot, but prefer Blue Letter. I even love the way the writer threw in other colors besides blue, such as as red and silver LOL.

I got it the day it was released, and there were NO guitar solo licks that offend me(check your meds, honey) at the end of Straight Back.

One More Night. It's lazy and bland. I also think her vocal is shrill.

Other than that song and Only Over You, I like to love everything she's done.

oh yeah, I always forget about One More Night. Bland is a good word for that song.

I really dislike Temporary One, also.

I love the live album but imagine dropping One More Night, Fireflies, and Not That Funny and adding a live Chain and Sisters. It would have been stellar!

I disagree re: Storms, but nevertheless, listen to it with a particular ear to the multiple keyboard tracks by Christine. You THINK it's Lindsey's acoustic guitar that makes the song, but it's Christine's playing that gives it (musical) depth and nuance

Well, in fact, was hard to me to choose only one, because there's a few I dislike from Tusk: Storms, Beautiful Child and Honey Hi. But I took that one. I guess I was wrong! Beautiful Child was even worse!

Your taste is impeccable. Bottom of the barrel on Tusk.
