I do believe the 2nd amendment but people got to be checked in full,Period..Thats the problem here.Who gives a rats a$$ on the cost doing it.People with mental heath issues should not get them. My bio father and stepfather had collections of guns and both were in the military.My father had a carrying permit .I only have a BB gun here to scare off unwanted pest animals in the yard going into the rubbish and gardens. . Also I dont shoot and kill them.Just scare the sheet out of them.

Let's pretend for a moment that we didn't have guns in private citizen's
hands. Does anyone think that this would have stopped this most recent
attack in California? Really? There are other options. And most of them
are worse.

And now under this administration we have the big players heavily involved
in the Middle East. Once they're there watch them turn against Israel. That
is where this is all going.

Read the Holy Bible and you'll see how this story is going to end.

I knew it was a bad thing when the Brady gun restrictions were allowed to lapse quite deliberately. After the incident that spawned that originally it's target Ronald Reagan said his fellow conservatives needed to vote to keep assault style weapons off the streets. There is no reason for military type gear and ammo clips in a civilized society, collectors can go cry on their vast back copies of catalogs. The U.S. needs the real NRA back, most of it's members wanted universally enforced restrictions and background checks all along. Gun safety and education have taken a back seat for a long time. Always ask, and how is this working out for you? What you have now is extreme. Funny the characters who pray loudest in public show the most zealousness for fringe supposed freedoms, what about the freedom to not to have to take part in an ever escalating everyone for themselves arms race? Everyone for themselves = not a society. Laws should be different for rural vs. urban too, so stupid to harass and bug people in rural areas with basic rifles for hunting and defense toward wildlife.

It's probably too late at this point though but those are the thoughts of someone who has used guns as a tool and lived and worked in both the U.S. and Canada and have relatives and loved ones in both all my life.
