Hey! TITN is a great song. People who are comparing it to Tango are doing it a favor, in my book.

It doesn’t sound anything like TITN the album or the song

Agreed. I mean I always said that to ChiliD. Just because there are musical similarities doesn’t mean anything if it doesn’t sound the same to the average listener. I mean, the average guitarist is not the average listener.

If anything, it reminds me more of something off SWS, production wise anyway, with a dash of his ol' keyboard robo-vocals weirdness.

Agreed SWS seems to be his new template for better or for worse

yes, When She Comes Down. one of the songs on SWS that i like the least. I Don't Mind has everything i don't like about When She Comes Down in it.

to me SWS is about explosive songs like IOOT and TTWLG, or the gorgeous ones like Gone Too Far. so this doesn't sound anything like the bulk of SWS, but definitely sounds like WSCD, which is also on there.

yeah i wish is for better - see my post above. SWS is my favorite album of his, because it has everything typical Linds on it. but i hope that it will be the typical Linds i adore on SWS not the typical Linds that annoys me on the bulk of new songs.

i have hope because i hated In My World but that was in no way the sign of other songs on BuckVie, so thinking this might be the same.

i loved everything that was typical Linds that he added to Caution, for example.

.
WSCD is my fav Linds song of the last 11 years by far.

I don’t think IDM sounds anything like it at all.

What makes him think SWS is the one? He’s got a least 3 superior albums he could keep copying from into the sunset.

Interesting, the two that came to my mind, at least in terms of guitar/production choices were Gone Too Far & End of Time.

Same — the classic pop template but maybe Elle means the Brian Wilson impulse in deconstructing “mind” sonically (my fav part of the track)

I'm hearing a sound of Not Make Believe (Say You Will version) when I listen to this song.

I like this song now after ten listens.

Good connection. And yes I’m listening to it for the first time this weekend … it’s wonderful

Out of the Cradle -- he could copy that several times over.

Do we think we will get another early-release track before the album?
