I don't know about anyone else, but I'm terribly confused by the last few statements made within this thread.
I guess I've missed something.

I'm just as confused as you are Johnny! lol! I don't have a clue what's going on (especially since I didn't see the unedited post), thus the X-files theme...!

Mr. BlueGrass, care to shed some light s'il vous plait?

LOL, just playing around guys. What SoulDrifter said was only a joke. I'm sure we'll hear "Peace Keeper" if it is a new song sometime soon.

SouldDrifter1949 certainly does exist...*points to the 579 posts their name*
May I ask what this whole one person conversation in this thread was all about? Because I personally didn't see any cohesive thoughts...
Sorry to be a bit brash, but I just don't understand basically anything you wrote...

Good grief, could you be more annoying perhaps?

If this whole thread of yours was a joke, why did you bother? You've just pissed people off.

But you're right in one respect - the song will leak out one way or another.

Why exactly are we to 'wait for the album'? We just saw the the song is available now...why would you be telling us to wait? Why do I have the sneaking suspicion that you know more than you're letting on? Either that, or you're just getting a rise out of people by posting utter nonsense...

Somehow I get the feeling there is a correlation between this thread and the turn the discussion in the thread about the Peacekeeper lyrics has taken.

I understand the frustration here. We're all fans. A lot of people here have been generous enough to share music that some of us would never have been able to get our hands on. Why come here to gloat or wink about something that you will refuse to make available to the rest of us? It's rather perverse and it's "un-fan-like."

I don't like the idea of somebody refusing to let other people hear a song (that they desperately want to hear) for absolutely NO REASON. If Lindsey Buckingham did not want anybody to hear this song, it would not have been released on this official CD in the first place. This version of the song has been ready (both legally, and from the artist's point of view) for public-listening since the event at which the CD was given out.

We have been told on the other thread that this is NOT the version that will appear on the album. Therefore, if you've listened to at least one of the GOS demos, you can't even say "we should wait for the album to come out before we listen to it" - that would be highly hypocritical and naive.

The reason why this thread has gotten to where it's at is because of one thing; greed. Think about it, won't you? Thank you.

Greed doesn't enter into it. It's all about taunting and flaunting. By the way, how many songs did you have shared on AudioGalaxy, Matt? I believe the RIAA would call that pretty greedy of you...

Woah, hey calm down! It's not like I'm the only Fleetwood Mac fan who used AudioGalaxy. And it's not taunting and flaunting, at least by the winner because the person whom won the bid hasn't even posted on this thread and most likely won't either. This topic has become about greed and I'll tell you why. The reason why this has gone so far is because somebody wanted the Peacekeeper song in mp3 format, that is posted in this very thread. If SoulDrifter wants to share this song with people, she has every right to, if she doesn't, well that's just fine too. It's her cd and it's her right to do whatever she chooses with it.
People WANT WANT WANT, that was apparent when the Thrown Down mp3 surfaced. Once the bid ended and the winner, whom happened to be a former poster here, became known, somebody wanted the mp3 and emailed SoulDrifter reguarding it. That's just plain greed; just a few hours after winning a very coveted cd, she gets asked if she's going to share the song with other people. Like I said before, if she wants to share it she will, if she doesn't then she won't. The reason this has carried on so far is because people WANT WANT WANT and it's because of this that nobody is going to get that particular song, at least for a while, and that's just fine with me thankyouverymuch! Have a good day!

Matt

Well, what did you expect, with it being a "very coveted cd"? God forbid anyone should want to hear a new Lindsey Buckingham song. Greedy bastards! How dare they?

And of course it's "fine with you, thankyouverymuch" because you'll be hearing the song as soon as your girlfriend gets it in the mail, right?
