Default Practical Magic 2 is happening!

Since she was the featured artist on the first soundtrack, will she be featured on this one? Anyone have any news about this?

Oh this is small potatoes for the Stevie PR camp. They're only concerned with attaching Stevie to whoever is in the headlines at the moment. Even the Harry Styles love fest has cooled off now that things are a little quiet with him at the moment.

Practical Magic? That's so 1998. It would be very cool if her and Sheryl recorded a new version of IYEDB that was an entirely new interpretation of the song, but I'm doubtful that has/will happen.

Practical Magic was so long ago that I was confusing its soundtrack with Boys in the Side. I had to check both to remember.

Though I like it more If You Ever Did Believe than Someboy Stand by Me, I liked more the BITS soundtrack. There were cool songs of Annie Lennox, Bonnie Raitt, Pretenders, etc.

I bought the soundtrack of the original when it came out. The soundtrack was bigger than the movie. "This Kiss" by Faith Hill was a huge hit. Stevie had 2 songs and she did a video for If You Ever Did Believe. I could be wrong but I dont think it was released as an official single off the album. I remember being excited to think Stevie was going to have a huge hit off the album but it did not chart. I remember renting the movie from Blockbuster and fell asleep during it. Very boring but the soundtrack went Gold from a movie that made less money than it cost to make. I love Stevie's version of Crystal and is the highlight of the soundtrack IMHO. Not sure why but that version gets flamed on this board. The movie was released right as the Enchanted tour ended so Stevie was everywhere. She did the Dance in 1997 then went right into Enchanted in 1998. Then she's in a big movie soundtrack with Sheryl Crow that was huge back then.
Long live the 1990s!!!!

The problem with Crystal on that album was Stevie's bagpipe drone vocals on the verses.

I read she had a voice therapist before The Dance. That show was her best voice performance in the 90s. Far better than recordings before and after.

Her and Chris quit smoking during The Dance. Stevie did hire a voice therapist but her vocals started to change. She was getting beat up in the press during the Dance. The Palm Beach Post called her ""fat and flat." IMHO her last good vocals were during Street Angel (tour and album). Her voice lost its vibrato and is another reason I don't care for TISRL.

I was curious to watch PM when it was released, but since I read several negative reviews, never went to the cinema or watched on TV. I read that it also had low box office takings. Weird they decided to develop a sequel.

Its not good but the soundtrack is really good even without the Stevie songs. Sometimes even bad movies have good soundtracks and vice versa.

Yeah her vocals on Crystal are horrible. Did like the music though.
