Default stadium show with Billy Joel

Stevie Nicks joining Billy Joel for NYC stadium concert
by Staff
January 6, 2025

Stevie Nicks and her band play Bonnaroo music festival. Manchester^ Tennessee USA - 06-19-2022

Stevie Nicks will join Billy Joel for a ‘one-night-only stadium show at MetLife Stadium in Rutherford, New Jersey on Aug. 8, 2025. Joel and Nicks have previously co-headlined shows together, beginning March 2023.

Joel shared with The Los Angeles Times in an interview last year: “I just got to meet her backstage, but we’ve never worked together, even though we both kind of hit at the same time. So this’ll be a completely new thing for me.” Nicks and Joel are also scheduled to perform one other joint date – March 29 at Detroit’s Ford Field.

Joel has additional concerts scheduled this year, with solo dates and co-headlining shows with Rod Stewart and Sting. Sting and Joel will co-headline four shows in 2025: Indianapolis, IN, at Lucas Oil Stadium on February 8th, followed by Syracuse’s JMA Wireless Dome on April 11th, Charlotte’s Bank of America Stadium on May 10th, and Rice-Eccles Stadium in Salt Lake City on May 23rd. Joel and Stewart will perform on July 5 at Acrisure Stadium in Pittsburgh.

I've never heard of that news outlet before!

It's interesting because the Elton and Billy shows were truly co-headling. They started together then Elton would play with his band, then Billy with his, and the encore would be Billy, Elton, and their bands. But this would take months of rehearsal for Stevie and Billy.

Can you imagine her mixing it up like that. I don't think she could do it, mentally.

She never really could “mix it up” with her solo shows. With the exception of a couple songs when releasing a new album.it’s always the same set list. I actually asked her about it when I met her backstage after a 1994 concert… she said “It just works”

When she promoted the 24 Karat Gold Tour in 2016, she said to come to two shows because you may see two different shows - as in different setlist for each show.

Now THAT'S a laugh. She's not capable of doing that.
