No, she played piano on "So Excited". I don't remember her playing accordian at all. jb, maybe you're confusing it with a Fleetwood Mac show that you saw.

JB this is hilarious!

I too remember thinking the MTV special was a little flat, primarily because she allowed too much time to her sidemen.

She didn't get anywhere near Rochester, NY for that tour so I unfortunately didn't get to see her live. I was 14 and wouldn't have been able to drive to Cleveland. I would have loved to have seen her in a small bar.

That's OK. I may even be wrong. It was almost 25 years ago! That's why our memories are so fuzzy.

My mom saw her at the Orpheum in 84 and said it was one of the best shows shes ever been to. All she could remember was that a little girl ran up on stage, gave her kiss and a lot of flowers. I guess Christines reaction was priceless because she wasn't used to all the attention.

A little girl? LOL! It was a grown man who did that. I wish the message board on the Christine McVie website was still functioning, because the guy who did it posted about it over there.

I don't remember that detail, but I can only guess they did. I do remember Christine's startled look.

Thinking back again to that concert, it is possible that your mom's recollection (of the little girl with the flowers) was also true. The guy that jumped up on stage didn't have flowers, I don't believe. I think when he posted about it on the Chris website board he said he regretted not having flowers to give her.
