Default Bad Journey - QUESTION - HELP!

Christine's song "Bad Journey" from In the Meantime features a bass(?) guitar riff that seems very familiar to me, but I can't figure out what song it's from. . . . . . . it sounds to me like some late 70s/early 80s disco or hiphop track. Does anyone else hear this? And, if so, is anyone able to identify what song it reminds me of?

Thank you!!!!!!!

UPDATE: I now remember that the bass line / riff thingy was definately used in a Public Enemy song -- one that primarily featured Flava Flav. I can't remember now which album (probably either Muse Sick N Hour Mess Age OR He Got Game). I believe the bass line was a sample. Hopefully it will be credited on the album. Unless I hear word on here, I will go home and look it up on my PE cd sleeves.

I figured it out!!!!

The Public Enemy song is "Shake Your Booty" from He Got Game (it was the first song I checked... I'm so good).

That allowed me to see what song the bass line was sampled from. The answer: "Do It Anyway You Wanna," the disco classic, by People's Choice!!!

That is the source for the bass line in Christine McVie's "Bad Journey."

Wow, I'm impressed! And not a little surprised by the unlikely source! Thanks a lot for filling us in.
