It will be a different one tomorrow but right now I'm really loving Time Precious Time. I just played it on a loop and zoned out while I was taking a break from work this morning.

I'd have to say it's Play in the Rain...

I used to hate flipping the album over for part II...

but love the tune...

The "trouble" all started with "Trouble."

And I continued down the path with "Holiday Road."

I used to go absolutely nuts to "Go Insane."

And then I swayed off to "Soul Drifter."

I daydream during "Street of Dreams."

The entire of "Under the Skin" gets under mine.

I'll always remember the precious time I saw/heard "Time Precious Time" at Nokia. An indelible concert moment if ever I had one.

And Lindsey's right, "Gift of Screws" sort of calls up a connotation, but it's a gift that keeps screwing with my head!

I'm DYING to add the Lindsey Mac moments here, but I'll stop before I hurt myself.

Can I pretend that Out of the Cradle is just one really long song? Ok. Then that's my favorite. And Red Rover, The Right Place to Fade, and Someone's Gotta Change Your Mind.

For today anyway...

I forgot about these two, especially DOR. Play in the Rain would be up there with my favourites. And I Want You. And Shadow of the West. And Bel Air Rain. And...

I would agree with that. How many years did I have the demo of the song and never paid any attention to it? Then, I saw it live (a bit before I got the album) and it simply exploded. And Lindsey seems to be infused with a special kind of energy when he performs the song too. It seemed to me even his facial features transformed from what I'm used to seeing.

Honestly, there are about 6 songs on the GOS album that he should always perform on his solo tour, but I know he won't. He will probably only revisit a couple of them. But Gift of Screws, the song, should definitely be one of those two that make the cut.

As for a favorite song of his, I don't have one. But if I was making any kind of list, definitely Time Bomb Town would be on it.

^^
I'm glad you mentioned the Soundstage version of I am Waiting. For some reason I like it so much better than the studio version on UTS. It just doesn't sound right to me.

Other favorites:
Soul Drifter
Countdown
Holiday Road
Wait for You
Trouble
Down on Rodeo
Go Insane
Shut Us Down
Gift of Screws

It's hard to decide for just one song. My all-time favourite Lindsey song would be "What's the World Coming To". But that is FM, and here, you asked about solo songs.

I haven't got all of his solo albums, just those past the "split" of 87. All of them have some gems. "Gift Of Screws" has the most, "Out Of the Cradle" has the 2nd most and "Under the Skin" has the 3rd highest number of gems.

"Right Place To Fade" and "Love Runs Deeper" are tied for best song of GOS.
"Countdown", "Soul Drifter", "Don't Look Down" and "Turn It On" are tied for best of OOC
and
"Show You How", "Down On Rodeo", "Someone's Gotta Change Your Mind" and "It Was You" are tied for best song of UTS.

I'm hoping that he makes another solo album of new material soon. But please, let's have more real percussion next time around.

Go Insane is one of my favorite albums. I would definitely get that. For me, I wouldn't rate Law and Order as high, but if you like the last 3 I think the first two would round out your collection quite nicely.
