Beautiful.

How Lindsey and Stevie have managed to squander so many opportunities with this album is on one hand shocking, but then again...not so shocking on the other.

I wonder how much material there could be for a expanded release.

If you take into account the bootleg recordings floating around from the pre MAC years at least a double cd release. If there is a clean live recording that would be a great 3rd disc. It would be amazing for a 5.1 DVD SS as the 4th disc.

I routinely despise covers, but this is STUNNING! The Crystal cover is...Beautiful! Lindsey will be so happy with this collab. Two established successful indi artists, and being produced by one of the best in the business.

Very cool!

I commend the project per se and dig the groovy name, but the two tracks they've posted lack the plaintive angst from the originals and instead come across as jolly ditties.

That's the point! Why try and replicate the album, that's rather passé, this is a fresh viewpoint using amazing source material. I like the fact they have not even attempted to touch Lindsey's playing. But the melodic nature of his playing is strong. Utilising instruments that fit the tune, violin, mandolin etc... Her voice is STUNNING! I mean c'mon let's be objective here.

God, we are such a miserable bunch. This will introduce the album to a whole new generation. These are established artists, not some nobodies. Did anyone check out Ryan Adams take on Taylor Swift's 1989? That was perfection, better than the actual record.

This is how the legacy of the band lives on.
My god what can the record companies do to make anyone happy?

I think the arrangements and performances diminish all that was good about the originals.

I wasn't aware the younger generation was seeking out old BN stuff, or would know what it was if it came up in their Spotify.

This was better. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=vAmS1ghDowI
