If Christine were on board for an album, Stevie wouldn't want to back out. She'd be there at 5am every morning, with coffee brewing in their trusty Bunn, raring to go.

Does Mick have a 5 year span of missing time? Lindsey came back in '97, not '92. In '92, Lindsey was bad mouthing Fleetwood Mac to anyone who'd listen while touring to back Out Of The Cradle.

Mick, you need to get Sherman to talk Mr Peabody into letting you into the "Way-Back Machine" so you'll get your chronology correct!!!

Oh, and yeah, right on top of technology there, Mick....both Elvis Costello & the Rolling Stones were letting the fans pick songs for their concert sets 20-25 years ago.

I agree. It's got to be the recording of a new album with Christine. That is what will get Stevie in and I think we could get a big radio hit with the fab five back together for their swan song.

Mick might have been talking about the Clinton performance.

So true.

While I'd LOVE to see Chris tour again... I'd rather her be involved at all than scared off because they pushed too hard.

So if I were FM, this would be my gameplan:

- Get on Christine's good side, get her all buttered up and try to convince her to record with FM for one last time. (don't harass about tour, but make sure she knows you would love to have her and then let that be the end of it)
- Tour as the 4some as planned.
- Final studio LP with Chris involved if they have succeeded in the first step
- Do one last filmed concert (with Christine playing) and release that alongside the album.

I don't think they're interested in doing the farewell thing. It think, in their mind, it's only over when one of them dies. (And, maybe not even then.)

Well, I don't mean that has to be the end of Fleetwood Mac in general. Just for Christine's involvement.

wow why so bitter? and, Stones are doing it now too, so again - what would be wrong with doing it in your opinion? you can't change past but you can do something about the present and future.

I'm trying to envision what lies ahead for Christine: an 11 hour flight, with Mick holding her hand the entire time. Is that comforting? And even if it is, I'm not sure it's an adequate substitute for the liquor she used to have on hand in the past.

I'm cracking up thinking of the song choice that Fleetwood Mac would give for a web vote.

Lindsey: "Okay, so we do this web vote thing where you get to pick the song!!!"
Stevie: (3 minute diatribe about how she doesn't even know how to spell computer, and has never seen an iPad, etc)
Lindsey: "Let's see what song we will be doing tonight............Never Going Back Again, no, Gypsy, no, Don't Stop, nah, we'll do that one later anyway, and the winner is--Sara!!!!!!!!!!"
Stevie: "Oh wow, ahahahahah, I hope I remember how that one goes, ahahahaha"

Sorry, I think it's cool that Mick is even bringing this type of thing up...having a fan choice song would be neat, but I can't see them doing this in the same manner that the Springsteen does with E Street Band. They just grab a sign out of the audience from fans and spend a minute figuring out the keys and then letting it rip.

If the Mac does this, it would be more in line with how the Stones did it in '97-'98 (and for the 5 anniversary shows last year)....here's a finite list of songs and you can vote for which you want to hear. There have always been rumors that the web votes on the Stones' Bridges to Babylon Tour were rigged anyway.
