WADDY!!!! I sh*t you not! No wonder I became easily addicted to the album, it was a sound I've spent my life listening to!
Cool story. Waddy does have quite an interesting career and has worked with so many people. I always loved his video with Kim Carnes "Crazy in the Night". Its so 80's its funny but his guitar licks and he bangs out a great solo in the song. It really could be him singing back up too.

He does have a sound that's mostly his own. Those "dissonant swells" that he does on Bella Donna, there's a lot of that on that David Nail record, too.

I swear I don't think I've ever heard that KC song before.

I love them. Gosh remember those swells during the RAL Stand Back with Stevie head flopping up and down. Out of control

that's rather...er...kitsch.
If you ever had to explain the 1980's to somebody you could play that video.

Ha ha. Stevie could have sung the song and slapped it on RAL If Stevie would have held Stand Back until RAL it would have sounded just like this song.

Waddy in his mid 80s BIG glasses. When I watch old 80s movies, its funny to see how big glasses were back then.

This is my favorite album and I love all the songs but will go with Side 2 because my three favorite solo Stevie songs are Edge of Seventeen, Outside the Rain, and How Still My Love. The rest of my solo favorites change often, but these are consistent.
