Default Soundstage, Live in Boston, and Comcast On Demand

So I just saw the little On Demand preview for their HD music feature on Fleetwood Mac. They called it Soundstage, but it looked to me to be Live in Boston. I once heard someone talk about this, but I cannot remember whether they were the same or not. Can someone help me? Thanks.

The concert first aired on PBS as part of the 'Soundstage' series. When it was released commercially (with additional songs not seen in the broadcast), it was given the 'Live In Boston' title.

It's the same deal with Stevie's upcoming release -- it was a 'Soundstage' segment, but the title of the commercial release will be 'Live In Chicago.'

Cool, makes sense now. Thanks.

I saw this, too. Comcast advertises it as a 2008 performance. But wasn't it filmed back in 2004? Also, it's only 55 minutes long.

I own the DVD and I've watched it countless times, but I would still watch it if had On Demand. Where's that "geek" emoticon?

It was filmed in 2003 and premiered in '04, so 2008 is definitely wrong. As far the length, I'm guessing that Comcast must be airing the abridged PBS version as opposed to the full-length show.

Here's the running order for the abridged version....

The Chain
Say You Will
Rhiannon
I'm So Afraid
Big Love
Landslide
Say Goodbye
Tusk
Stand Back
Go Your Own Way
Don't Stop

What? That is more like a greatest hits CD than a live performance! They cut off Come, one of the the best songs of the show. I always knew that I didn't like Comcast!

Comcast does blow... but the abridged version actually originated with PBS.

It seems they gave the various markets a choice -- a one-hour version or a two-hour version. My area (Pittsburgh), for example, aired the one-hour edition.

Oddly enough though, even the two-hour version wasn't the full show (or in the proper running order)....

The Chain
Eyes Of The World
Peacekeeper
Say You Will
Never Going Back Again
Rhiannon
Come
Big Love
Landslide
Say Goodbye
Beautiful Child
Gold Dust Woman
I'm So Afraid
Silver Springs
Tusk
Stand Back
Go Your Own Way
Don't Stop
Goodbye Baby
Second Hand News (while the credits rolled)

Yeah, Come is definitely my favorite song off of the live performance.. probably one of my favorite Fleetwood Mac songs.
